Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Irving, TX Apr 2013 – Reviewed Apr 26, 2013
Interview Details – The interview was not difficult. I had 3 interviews. The first one was with the recruiter and the rest were with the HR Team. They work pretty fast and are very detailed and by the book. Since they were in India and I am in TX, the entire interview process was via phone. We did attempt to do a video conference call but due to technical difficulties, it did not happen so it resulted to a phone interview with the panel.
Interview Question – No difficult or unexpected questions. The only thing I disliked was when I kept getting cut off. I wasn't done answering the question being asked. A few times, I could not make out what was being asked because of their very strong Indian accent. Answer Question

I was contacted by a recruiter. They asked me questions about my background and my technical experience. Since I met their requirements, I was passed on for a technical interview.
The provided me a link to their on-line candidate system. I had trouble with cut and paste into the system and it was not very flexible. I loaded in a updated resume and experience into their HR System, yet for the rest of the process no one ever used the information I supplied. They kept e-mailing the 5 year old résumé that was found on the Web that I was originally contacted with. It was a waste of time to use their HR system, and it is clear that their do not use it themselves.
The next interview was with 2 people. I was asked the same information as in the first interview with some more technical questions about base Windows technologies such as Active Directory and DNS.
A week later I had a 3rd interview with the manager of the account. I was asked the same questions as the 2nd interview.
All the interviews were with non-native English speakers via phone or Web conference. The were often hard to understand and I had to often ask them to repeat the questions.
Interview Question – I was asked why I seamed to jump jobs a lot. View Answer

Infosys recruiter called me for a software engineer's position. since it's my first time to hear about Infosys, I asked for a base salary of 100K, which I later found out is obviously beyond their budget, but the recruiter gave me the empty promise of the salary and invited me for an on-site interview.
after one hour of easy on-site technology interview, the HR came over and told me that based on my 5 years experience they can only offer me a base salary of 60K, which made me feel being deceived by their recruiter.
Infosys recruiter should be honest with candidate about the salary Infosys would offer.
