Insight Canada Interview Questions & Reviews
Getting an Interview
Very Easy Interview
Accounts Executive Interview (Positive Experience; Very Easy Interview)
I applied through college or university and the process took 2 days - interviewed at Insight Canada in November 2010.
Interview Details – Very laid back interview process. They call you and see if you can put a sentence together without choking. If you manage, they will call you in for a face-to-face interview. Sit you down and ask you to fill out a short questionnaire asking about basic IT questions. Which is the latest version of windows, name three major IT companies etc..they don't really care if you can't do it too well. A manager or senior employee comes in, depending on who is free at the time. Kind of round Robin the process and they get a feel for you and pretty much with that quota(~25 every few months) your chances of getting hired are high. Then it's bang into training.
Interview Question – What's the latest version of Windows(not really difficult) View Answer
Negotiation Details – No negotiations. Try get a good seat after training as you will be stuck there for a while
Very Easy Interview
Account Executive Interview (Positive Experience; Very Easy Interview)
I applied online and the process took 5 days - interviewed at Insight Canada.
Interview Details – Initial communication is done online (personality and success makeup), then phone.
A group meeting is setup, last 1-2 hours. Each individual will have a one-to-one interview with a sales manager.
If accepted, you will be required to attend full-time 2-3 months of training on IT, people's skills, in-side sales methodologies and internal administration on placing orders and navigating their ERP system. During this period, candidates are screened and omitted from employment.
Candidates who complete this session are pooled into a new team for several months. During this period, unsuitable candidates are released from employment.
Interview Question – There is no need to have any technical knowledge. This was absolutely surprising to me.
You may be asked difficult questions to see how well you manage clients. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There is no negotiation phase, base salary is set and commision structure is set.
