Interviewed Dec 2011 in New York, NY (took 1 week)
Intelligence test and personality assessment links were sent a few days after I applied directly on their website. About 2 days later, I received an invitation for a group interview. The group interview format was a little strange, but actually interesting. If HR felt that a candidate was a good fit for a specific department, they had qualified candidates interview individually with hiring managers. Candidates were also given a tour of the offices.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
The perks were great but the salary was far too low and the company was not willing to negotiate.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview and an IQ/Intelligence Test.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
I first submitted an online application. Then I was directed to take a personality test (which was very cool and informative because you get your results back and its interesting to read) then an hour long Personality and IQ test which asks you to respond to a question and rate yourself on a scale (agree /disagree) and which word out of the several describe you best etc. Then the next section is following number and geometric patterns and a series of analogies. I was promptly emailed back the next day asking to call HR's number and basically "sell myself". After that I was contacted for a one on one interview the next week. The interview was a great experience. Everyone there was so nice friendly, very professional but so relaxed and approachable.
After my interview with the department (only a 10 minute long interview) the HR gals sat down with me and talked to me for a little about salary, benefits etc and wanted to know if I had any questions. After that I was proceeded to take a 25 minute skills assessment on salesforce to see if I could pick up a new software program quickly. I watched a tutorial and replicated the process. For other positions they typically have "Trial Days" but for this position they explained there is no real way to gauge potential by a trial day.
I received an offer the next day.

So the reviews already posted on here are 100% on the mark-basically they put you in a group interview (which I didn't like) with some people who are applying for the same position as you (awkward). Then we just went around the room and said what we were doing presently and why we wanted to work at IIN. Most people said that nutrition was their passion etc. etc. When someone would say "I'm even thinking of taking classes at IIN" the HR's eye's would light up. They didn't look at any of our resumes or portfolios or anything. We got a tour of the place which seemed nice enough.
Then we went back in the conference room and they chose certain people to meet with managers. They told the rejects (myself and two others) that some managers "like to interview over the phone, or may call you back" but we knew this was a lie. Then we got shoveled back into the elevator. I felt like this was pretty humiliating and they should have just told us we didn't make it to the next round. All in all the benefits are awesome and all, but I don't think their hiring process is ethical or the best practice.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
Filled out an online form and went in for a group interview. In the group interview we just introduced ourselves, what we applied for, and why we were interested. Then we went on a tour of the facilities and possibly got to meet with a manager in our division. I met with a manager and talked about my experience and reintroduced myself and what interests me about operations.
Later that day or the next, I got an email asking me to come in for a trial day to see how the department works. The work was pretty basic working with salesforce and lots of repetitive clicking on things and filling out the same forms. You get paid for the trial day, though it was very short.
Went back for a "trial week" and worked for a while and learned more about what the job entailed. It was very repetitive overall and has a steep learning curve for what to do with specific situations because of the variety of emails received.
I am glad I was not hired, because I would not have been able to take it. The benefits are great, but the work was so frustrating because there was very little that I could not be walked through and there was no one that was training me fulltime as they were all working as well.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in New York, NY (took 1 week)
Hiring strategy is very unique. Two days after I submitted my resume online, I got an automated response from HR asking that I take a personality and IQ test. The personality test was 15 minutes and you get to keep the writeup, the IQ test took me about 1hr. I find it strange that these tests are administered online, usually they are done in person with a person qualified to review and proctor the exam present. I spoke to a friend in HR somewhere else who said that they aren't following best practices with online exams like that.
Well, after the exam, I got another automated email to come in for a group/panel interview in 3 days. Basically you are in a room with 12 other people, some who may or may not be applying for the same position, and with 3 HR ladies. They asked we give a 2min speech on our skills, the position we are applying for and why we want to work there.
Then we went on a tour of the offices and when we got back, some people were asked to stay to meet with managers that were available. I and another person (who I thought was way too qualified to be applying for an admin position - recent Ivy grad) were told the managers weren't around. I'm sure they were, but we just didn't get to move on to the next round. I got an email the next day saying thank you but no.
I think they are looking for very specific type of people. So if you don't get asked to go to the next round I think it's probablly a good thing. They know the type of person who will mix well with everyone.
All in all it wasn't a bad interview process, just annoying that it takes so long before you can actually ask tough questions to see if in fact YOU want to work there. I'm guessing I was too forthright - I asked what they found frustrating working there and how they have grown. Most of the HR people had only been there 6 months or less and I guess felt too on the spot. Also, to get a sense of the structure of the company, I asked how many divisions they had and how deep they were - HR didn't know (or want) to answer this, they got very uncomfortable.
Good luck!

Interviewed Sep 2011 in New York, NY (took a day)
As you can see in the other posts...I went through the initial application. personality test, IQ test etc. Did the group interview with less than 10 other applicants all applying for different jobs. Only one other person was applying for the same one as me. Group interview went well, and then while 2 HR people "try to track down specific managers to meet with" one person gave us a tour around the offices. When we got back only some managers were available (aka- like the others said- if you're not asked to continue interviewing there, you're done....it's fun to watch them pretend to IM on their computer to see who is around the offices) I was one of the lucky ones to meet with 2 people I would be working for, along with the other applicant.
I will be honest here.
I believe I did a really good job asking questions, talking about myself, and why I want to work there/ would be a good fit. The only thing I did not do that most the others did was rant and rave about how nutrition and exercise are a huge part of my life....and how the nutrition conferences are sooooo inspiring.
Yes, I thought about lying/exaggerating about that but I thought my qualifications and experience were a perfect match and enough to prove why I deserved that job. In the end, isn't it just about getting the work done as best as possible??Well I was wrong.
I sent a thank-you email and less than a week after the interview, I received a generic copy and pasted rejection email.
I understand it is competitive out there, trust me, I've had more than enough bad experiences this year, so this just adds on to the list.
However, it is very obvious that these people only hire based on if you studied at their so called school,. went to their conferences, eat organic, do yoga daily....etc. etc.
I'm not being the bitter applicant that hates them (it seems like a great place to work) but seriously, you can be perfect for the job and know it front and back before you even start...and it doesn't mean a thing.
For all of the hours put in applying (2-3), then the group interview day (2) it's just such a joke.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took a day)
As mentioned by other reviewers, first you take IQ and Personality tests. Then, if you do well, they invite you to a group interview. There were about 10 potential employees and 4 members of their stuff. They start with a lie or euphemism: After group interview, if the hiring manager for your position is available then you get invited to one on one interview. The truth is, if they don't invite you right there on a spot, it means they don't want you.
They ask 3 things: what position you are applying for, what are your qualifications, and why you want to work for their organization.
The bottom line is, the only important part of your speech is the answer to the last question. You have to tell a tear jerking story from your personal life how a change in nutrition saved you from some deadly decease. How you would like to change the way children around the world eat. Also, don't forget to mention how much you admire their mission. The more ridiculous your story the better. These people are so full with themselves that it doesn't surprise them at all, that every applicant got such a story.
The problem with that is that if you are not good at making up silly stories, your qualifications don't matter at all. My qualifications were clearly superior to other candidates applying for the same position, but since I didn't have a life altering experience related to nutrition, I didn't get picked.
You can say that I am just bitter. I am, I think your professional qualifications should get you hired, not fake enthusiasm.
PS despite my criticism of their hiring process, it seems like a nice place to work for. So, prepare a story and lavish praise on their mission, and at least you get yourself one on one interview.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in New York, NY (took 1 week)
After putting in a form online, I got an email from HR that wanted me to take an online IQ quiz and a comprehensive personality test. After that stage, I got invited to a group interview at their office. Their office is indeed very nice, and people there seemed friendly. The group interview of about 12 people consisted of introducing yourself, where you went to school, what position you're applying to and why you're interested in it. After that, I got invited to interview individually with a manager. She asked typical questions such as my strengths and weaknesses and to give specific examples. She liked me and wanted me to come back for a trial day (2 hours). After that, I got a job offer.
