Interviewed Dec 2011 in Hillsboro, OR (took 4+ weeks)
I applied through their website and also had my resume forwarded internally through an employee. After not hearing back for a month or so, I contacted the hiring manager to make sure they had received my application. Soon after, they scheduled 2 hourlong phone interviews. These were probably the hardest part of the entire process, and they asked some difficult questions (behavioral and technical). Soon after that, they asked me to come to the candidate rush for a networking session and 3 hourlong in-person interviews. These interviews were a lot easier--it really seemed like the interviewers were friendly and tried to help you get the right answers. They scored my answers on some sort of worksheet based on how I responded. Overall, it was a fun process and it was very easy once I got past the initially difficult phone interviews.

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 2 weeks)
Applied for the position through university and was offered a phone interview. I was emailed the interviewers name and position. I never received the call at the scheduled interview time. I followed up and another phone interview was scheduled. Every question asked was very technical in nature with none being behavioral. They seem to want a keyword for every question that they ask.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Hillsboro, OR (took a day)
Have a lot of experiences from past club and leaderships positions so that you can relate your experiences towards the position. Be ready to answer technical and behavioral questions and be as specific and in depth as possible because recruiters want to see how much you learned in your college career while seeing how you stand apart from your peers.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Chandler, AZ (took 2 days)
I participated in the candidate rush at the Chandler, AZ site. My travel and lodging were payed for. I was very happy with the overall process. The first day was an overview of the rotational program and Intel. The second day we attended a presentation concerning the benefits of working at Intel. We were given three separate interviews. All interviews were behavioral in nature. Each interview had a technical component which was relatively basic. My advice would be make sure you have some strong examples of experiences to draw upon (work, school, etc.). Make sure you are aware of basic functions of company by reviewing 10K or Q. Have a strong working knowledge of corporate finance and the current regulatory environment.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 2 days)
A lot of technical questions to gage your understanding of the job. One question that was very difficult to answer dealt with earnings management and basically wanted to see how far you would go to hit a target. It's a good company so it's understandable that the questions were tough.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Phoenix, AZ (took a day)
There are two initial phone interviews. The interviewers are actual financial analyst, not HR or recruiting personnel. The phone interviews are 45 min to 60 min in length. There is a combination of behavioral and technical questions but the emphasis is on the behavioral questions.
If you do well enough you will have another series of interviews at one of the major Intel locations. There you will do three 1-on-1 interviews of 45 min each. Again, these are performed by actual analysts and managers. The format is the same (behavior plus technical). There are 6 to 7 questions that follow a script that details specific responses or keywords that the interviewer is looking for.
I found that everyone throughout the processes wants you to do well. It is not about keeping people out (as others are) but rather to make sure there is a good fit from both sides.

Interviewed Dec 2010 (took 2 weeks)
The 2 phone interviews were on 2 consecutive days. The financial analyst asked me basic behavioral questions and the controller asked me the technical questions (more accounting related than finance related!!)
The next week was flown in for a reception/networking dinner, morning meeting, 3 in-person interviews, and lunch. Intel took care of EVERYTHING and everyone was so nice/easy to work with in setting up this last minute interview. The networking event was awesome because its a casual environment and you can really learn a lot about the company culture by just speaking with the employees that come along. I personally felt the 3 in-person interviews were easier than the phone because they're pretty much the same questions but more case-based ("tell me a time when...") but you can read the interviewers better in person!
I was informed within a week later, accepted another few days after, and went through the background/drug test process then. The ENTIRE process was less than 2 weeks which amazed me and I was kept in the loop of the process every second which was great.
My only advice is always be personable but still professional (no drinking at the social event) and ASK QUESTIONS - they love that! Every second of the weekend is part of the interview so always be on your game even when walked from room to room, people are checking you out!
