Interviewed May 2011 in Hillsboro, OR (took 4+ weeks)
Was initially contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn and set in my resume.
Several weeks later was contacted by Intel for a phone interview. The interview was scheduled for the following Monday. It consisted of some very basic questions about programming and software engineering as well as some behavioral questions.
The interviewer's manager called me later that day for a follow up interview and the day after that (Tuesday) they scheduled me for a full day on-site interview for that Thursday.
The on-site interview consisted of eight one hour interviews, one of them over lunch. They asked a lot of technical questions about a variety of topics, many behavioral questions, and I covered the whiteboard in the conference room with code several times.
I have been selected, but the HR manager has been out for the week and will be contacting me on Monday to present an offer.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Hillsboro, OR (took a day)
They found the really old version of my resume on their database from back when I'd applied for an intern position.
The hour-long phone interview consisted of the standard questions for a EE - inverter transfer curve and the effect of PMOS:NMOS size ratio on the shape, NAND, NOR gate design, clock skew causes and remedies, effect of parasitic capacitances on wires, state machines and state minimazation - K-maps etc. Was also asked to describe class projects, previous internships, and even some puzzles: find the fake (heavier/lighter) ball from 15 using minimum number of measurements on a weighing balance. Always good to read up on recent company products/news to ask intelligent questions about the position, challenges etc.
On-site interview only a week later (that's quicker than usual). My prep concentrated mainly on stuff I studied (and promptly forgot) during my undergrad - digital design, excitation table, computer architecture, c+vhdl+perl programming etc. Breezed through my master's VLSI material just before the interview, turns out I didn't need to revise most of it. Having a contact inside the group I interviewed for and classmates who joined Intel recently helped a lot.
The personal was 5 rounds with different people, of which I found the physical layout/analog design questions the easiest.
will complete later.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Hillsboro, OR (took a day)
The interviewer asked very specific questions on my knowledge about the position. The position was mainly about researching upcoming games for Intel to tailor their products to better serve them. The interviewer was very nice and was very detailed on what to expect on the job.
The interview took roughly 30 minutes and the interviewer spends a lot of time telling you what the industry is like and Intel's company goal with the position.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Hillsboro, OR (took a day)
Attended a campus information session and submitted resume on website, was contacted by a department to apply to a specific position within a week (I had not submitted my information to any specific positions as I wasn't really set on my graduation date), scheduled a 30 minute phone interview, invited to an onsite interview a week later. Onsite interview was a full day, starting with an hour long presentation of my research, a technical interview, lunch/tour/question session, followed by three more interviews, one focused on personality/situational questions and two general interviews with group/area managers. Received an offer two business days later, although they said it may take up to two weeks. The people were all very nice, but it was made clear that this job would be demanding time wise (on call to resolve issues 24/7 basically) . Techincal interview was based on my resume and research presentation; if you know your material, none of what was asked should stump you. Situational questions were scripted
Was given the opportunity while setting up my travel plans to stay an extra few days to look around the area, which I would recommend that anyone take advantage of. There were 6 people interviewing with the group that day, and they made it clear from the start that we were not in competition for the same position.
