Interviewed Oct 2009 in Hillsboro, OR (took 4+ weeks)
First, I was phone-interviewed by a hiring manager, who was a group leader in a process integration group. He asked questions on my research topic as well as process and reliability issues related to the position. At the end of the phone interview, he said he wanted to have me for an on-site interview. About 10 days later I went to Hillsboro, OR for the on-site interview and spent a whole day from 8am to 5:30pm. The on-site interview started with my research presentation, followed by 1-on-1 interviews with 7 or 8 people including a director, group leaders, and engineers. Most of tough questions were asked by the group leaders covering from fundamental textbook questions - not necessary related to the job requirements - to actual field-related questions.
