Interviewed Apr 2012 in Westlake Village, CA (took 4+ weeks)
I like hiring process of Intuit. They flew me in for F2F interview of 5 rounds.
However 2 of interviewers could not make it personally so took onsite phone round.
The Best thing was, I was meeting with those people whom I would be working not with those panel members who can only be seen during interviews or some meetings.
I was interviewed by Product Owner, Senior Engineer, QA Manager, Architect and Senior Manager.
All round are time bound and they definitely make me comfortable during interviews.

I was so perfect for this job but these folks WAY over think it all and end up just being kind of creepy.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Woodland Hills, CA (took a day)
I applied online and was called by the in-house recruiter two weeks later. She just asked some general questions to make sure I was still interested and asked my salary range. She then told me I was in the ballpark and scheduled a phone interview with the hiring manager for the next day. Because I didn't live in the area, I would have a phone interview with him, then possibly a phone interview with four of his team.
The hiring manager asked some technical questions and some behavioral questions. It did seem that I didn't have enough of the development skills he was looking for. He sounded competent, but position didn't sound very well defined. Toward end of interview, he asked if I had any questions. The only thing I could think of was to say something like "so you have 4 people working for you?' Well, he got really flustered and rambled for a few minutes trying to explain how the departments were organized. He then admitted that he only had one person and one other was on medical leave.
I was told that the recruiter would contact me. She has not.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Woodland Hills, CA (took 5+ weeks)
I applied to a job listing on Dice and got a call back after a couple of weeks from their internal recruiter. She scheduled a phone interview with the hiring manager a week after. I sat and waited and he never called me. The recruiter called me back after two weeks and scheduled another phone interview. He calls me 45 minutes late! I went through the phone interview and he suggested that I'm a strong candidate and will be contacting the recruiter to set up a panel interview with other IT heads who were supposed to fly in from another location. My panel interview was supposed to be in two days. The recruiter called me today and said "I'm sorry, but the hiring manager asked me to cancel the interview for tomorrow." I nicely stated that the interview was NOT tomorrow but the day after and disconnected the call.
To sum it up, I will never consider working for this company again. It is an absolute embarrassment. I have never dealt with such unprofessional group of people before in my career.

Interviewed May 2008 in Calabasas, CA (took 2 weeks)
Intuit is extremely process oriented as a company, and so is there interviewing procedure. I was referred in by a former boss, but my candidacy filtered through 'standard channels' nonetheless (rigorous adherence to process).
I began with a phone interview with an HR manager at HQ who did a basic vetting (she was very friendy and unusually down-to-earth, without being unprofessional), and on the basis of that, was moved to local interviews with a series of people with whom the position would interact. This happened very quickly - perhaps within 10 days. I then went to their Calabasis division campus and had a combination of in-person and speaker-phone interviews with about 5 different people ranging from executive higher-ups who would rely on the output of this position, to direct potential co-workers, to higher up mangers from 'sister' divisions that this position would interact with. I was in the room from about 9 am until 2 pm, and they brought me a sandwich (they offered t bring whatever my choice was), at about 12:30.
It was a grueling day, but at the end I was left with the impression that this is a company that really does care about how people interact and that they will be happy at the company in addition to being a good fit. I have rarely seen such a process oriented company, and it's terminology and approach can sometimes be heavy and dense, but it was short of being oppressive. In fact, I really didn't mind it.
The interview process reminded me to some extent of my post-MBA consulting interviews in its intensity, but somehow it felt a little more human. I didn't get the job (which I was hesitant about given the potential hiring manager, who I later found out left the company shortly after I had interviewed), but I feel that if you're going to go corporate, you could do much worse than Intuit. They genuinely seem to care about what they're doing, and I think there would be much to learn there.
