Came in on a Tuesday morning to drop off my application. Talked to the Assistant Manager. Scheduled and interview for the following week. When the day came i showed up. Was well prepared. The store manager asked me questions like. What is your current store intake? How do you communicated to your employees? How long have you been with your current company? Why Jcrew?

Phone screen with recruiter who asked a variety of questions, " Can you tell me about your problem solving skills" One on One interview with a recruiter or supervisor of sales dept., asking questions like, ""Can you tell me a time you had to address an angry or irrate customer", "What type of problems do you like tackling?", offer was made on the spot. Background check had to come back clear before I could start.

Once I filled out an application, I received a phone call to come in for an interview. This was a 1 on 1 interview where I was asked simple questions about my personality and sales skills. There was little focus on situational questions, most of the questions dealt with my own personal work experience and attributes.

No, I did not get a chance to negotiate at all. I was simply told what I was going to make without any questions asked. I did not care at the moment, because I believed I was moving up quickly and viewed it as a temporary step only. If only I knew that what I got into was a death trap...

Interviewed in a group of 2 candidates. The interview itself was very short and quick, about 20 minutes. First interview was led by the hiring manager and she was very nice and friendly. We were interviewed outside the store. She asked us basic questions about previous experience, how we define customer service, describe a time where we received great customer service. She also asked us about our fashion style, inspirations, and if we follow fashion blogs, and to name a few. Second interview with the store manager was pretty much the same.

I first picked up a paper application from the store and filled it out and returned it to one of the managers. After a couple of days I followed up by calling the store to see if they received my application and that they looked at it and if they were still looking to hire for seasonal employees. I set up an interview that same phone call. My interview was about 20 minutes with a manager one on one at the store. I got a call the next day saying that they would like to hire me and I accepted.

I filled in an application that I picked up from the store, filled it out immediately, and returned it as soon as I filled out the 5 or so pages. (I was told it's helpful to go in the store so they can see that you don't look like a weirdo). I was called a few weeks later for a group interview at the store. I was called a couple weeks after the interview with a job offer.

The hiring and interview process for contract employees are a lot quicker than it is for permanent employees. I just did some research on the company and read up on Mickey Drexler but other than that, I just prepared by familiarizing myself with my resume and preparing responses to the typical behavioral question that are typically asked.

I think that my application was successful because I was very proactive with the store, calling and stopping by to check in. Two managers conduct separate one-on-one interviews with you while asking substantially the same questions, which gives you the opportunity to refine your answers the second time. They expect you to be very passionate about the brand.

Very laid back, but you can tell the interviewer had a lot of expectation beforehand. She tried her best to make it relaxed, but the small cluttered room we did the interview in did not really allow for that. It was straight forward.She asked typical interview questions. I don't thin I was available enough for them to get the job, which was fair.
