Interviewed Mar 2011 in Scottsdale, AZ (took a day)
I initially met a recruiter for the company at my university's career fair during the Fall semester. The position wasn't posted until early January, which I applied to as quickly as I could. My only interview was a couple months later (March) with a couple of people. They were very nice, but what threw me off guard is that they didn't ask typical "interview questions" that you would expect. It was more of a conversation outlining details about my resume and a chance to ask any questions, about a 30 minute interview overall. It took another month or so to get an offer back because I was one of the first that they interviewed for the position.

The salary is pretty set in stone for this position. My manager doesn't control my salary.

Interviewed Jan 2009 in Hyderabad (India) (took a day)
I went through an Open Interview with a consultant from overseas who put me to ease post which he walked me through the office and tried to understand the type of work culture I would be interested in. Then they put me through a Director available who was exposed to the domain where in I was asked some questions as to the work conditions that I was exposed to. I was then asked to quote the salary that I am willing to offer my services for post which it was the HR round where in their intention was to find out my fitment to the position on offer for the salary structure that the management has accepted for.

Negotiation Details
Negotiation phase was awesome. I hardly had to talk. I asked for a figure and they readily offered me. However, I made them aware that if I do not find my pay structure matching to that of my counterpart either within in the confines of the company or some external stakeholder in my area of work, I informed them that I would quit there and then. They were open enough to accept it and they made me an offer that I could not reject.

I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 1 week)
Telephone interview with HR manager, who was very professional. Interview was designed to determine suitability for JDA and specific opportunity. At the end of the interview, he told me that I would recommended for onsite interview with hiring manager and VP of Applications. The onsite meeting occurred with 4 business days. The onsite interview lasted for only 1 hour.
I would welcome the opportunity to work at JDA as it appears to respect personal-work balance in a collaborative, team-based envioronment. I keep a close eye on their postings and remain in contact with the HR manager.

Interviewed Jan 2007 in Scottsdale, AZ (took a day)
Initial contact was via phone from a recruiter. He asked basic questions, no weed out questions. Next up was a phone screen from a VP of Software Development. He asked great behaviorial questions, no technical questions. This lasted 45 mins. At the end of the phone screen he extended an invitation for a 1:1 interview. The recruiter called me the next day to set up a time for the 1:1. the 1:1 consisted of meeting with the recruiter, VP, and 4 directors. It was a panel interview and they focused on a mix of behaviorial and technical questions. Real nice group of people. At the end HR came in and asked if any illegal questions were asked or if I felt uncomfortable at any time (interesting). In the end they had concerns that I did not have international experience and I was not offered the position. Great process and I agree, I was not the best fit for the position.

Interviewed May 2009 (took 2 months)
Very cutthroat and competitive. Be confident and fight back. Nothing matters until you get to the EVP. It’s a buyer’s market and they will throw you out for the simplest of issues. Sell hard or go work somewhere else.
