* Response to Application was prompt.
* No time wasted in setting up Phone interview and subsequent in-person interviews
* In-person interviews happen quickly without wastage of time.
* Decision of the interview results are also conveyed quickly.
* Interviewers were very cordial and gave a proper overview of what is expected of the position.

No negotiation was possible.
Stick to your ask if you are given an offer. However the offer is pretty much standard as per industry practice.

The interview process was very grueling. I had to meet numerous members of the legal team as well as members from other shared services teams. I met the CFO, CEO, and other senior management team members. My initial communications were solely with my hiring manager. Then, as the process progressed, I met additional people.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Colorado Springs, CO (took 3 days)
Contacted by a recruiter who scheduled an on the phone interview. The phone interview consisted of a group of 4 people taking turns asking personality/basic technical screening questions. The phone interview was the least technical part of the process. I got the feeling that they wanted to gauge personality. I was asked to come into the office the next day. The in-office interview was mainly technical, consisted of mostly of knowledge based questions related to the languages I would be working in as well as some general programming theory general knowledge questions. Additionally I had to read from some class diagrams and flowcharts and plot them out in code. The third day I told, through the recruiter, that they wanted to make an offer.

I had a very positive experience with my interview at JDSU. The process was laid out in a very clear, concise and professional manner. The interviewers were well prepared and the offer letter was processed and presented in timely fashion.

Contacted by recruiter who then passed me on to the hiring manager. Had a two hour interview with various people (2 at a time) and a brief tour of the plant. Never heard back from them after the interview to say I hadn't been selected.

PRETTY STANDARD INTERVIEW PROCESS; INITIAL TELEPHONE SCREENING, FOLLOWED BY TWO SERIES OF INTERVIEWS. THE INITIAL SERIES OF INTERVIEWS WAS WITH PEER-LEVEL PERSONNEL AND HR PEOPLE. SUCCESS AT THIS STAGE MEANT MEETING SENIOR EXECUTIVES AS WELL AS YOUR DIRECT SUPERVISOR. THE PROCESS WAS FAIR AND UNBIASED AND GAVE THE APPLICANT A GOOD CROSS-SECTION OF EMPLOYEES.

Applied on company career site and received an email informing me that they would like dates that I could interview. At the interview, I met with the manager and several team members. A standard set of questions were presented along with some general conversation to see if I would fit in. One questions was asked that I wasn't expected to answer but I was told it was asked to see how I interacted in a difficult situation. I was told the company will be interviewing many applicants and a decision will not be made quickly. Still waiting to hear.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Indianapolis, IN (took a day)
Initial contact was made to me from the corporate office. Very nice communication by email and telephone. The interview was started by the department head and I met with a few more people afterwords. Once with two interviewers. With the first interviewer, I was straightforward with two points on the job description that I was lacking. He let me know that it was no big deal. The last interviewer let me know that those two points were a negative. I wasn't sure who would be making the final decision. A few days after the interview, I called to check the status of the decision making process. I could never reach the department head. Later I called the Senior Mechanical Engineer and he acted surprised that no one had contacted me. He would not tell me if I was still a candidate, but I knew by his response that I was not. The next day, the corporate office contacted me to tell me someone else had been chosen.
