Interviewed Oct 2010 in Columbus, OH (took a day)
I think my interview experience might have been slightly different from most others who were applying for this position. My interviewer had a standard sheet of behavioral/personality questions to work off of, but chose to ignore it completely. He asked a lot of open ended questions about myself, just to get a feel for my work preference and learning style. He was really trying to find out if you were a good fit for the position and vice versa, and NOT trying to sell the position/company to you.
By the end of the interview (which was on the long side, 60min) we were talking about things completely irrelevant to the position. It seemed as though we both agreed that the position wasn't exactly right for me, but that I would still be qualified for it if I wanted to pursue the next round. But like I said, this experience might be very different from the one you encounter.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Columbus, OH (took 2 weeks)
Initial communication was via an online application. After a phone interview, I was interviewed by a panel of managers and supervisors. The VP of the group was kind and courteous, some of the managers were condescending and had a superiority attitude. I have since learned that Chase often interviews outsiders knowing that the position will be fulfilled by someone that already works for the company. It is required that outsiders are interviewed per company policy. I think this process is a waste of time. This company has a bad reputation regarding its work environment. I will not interview there again.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in Columbus, OH (took 1+ week)
The first step is the phone interview. I spoke with a gentlemen who asked me real general questions. Told me about the pay range, etc. It was a long time ago so I don't remember all of the details. After the phone interview about a week later I got a phone call from the Assistant Branch Manager at the branch I applied for. Ask if I was still interested in the position, set up an interview. The interview was a smooth process lasted about 40 minutes to an 1 hour.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Westerville, OH (took 3 days)
Phone interview went smoothly, but interview with hiring manager very poor. Hiring manager was ten minutes late, showed up and sat down and for next five minutes talked about my personal life and small talked, then after asked five questions and gave me very little time to respond. Did not even ask one question about my job performance in my curent function where I had consistently exceeded and was awarded as the top performer for the last year in my entire department. Ended the interview with talk about how I would love the postition and the people, as if I already had the position. A few days later got a form rejection and no feedback, even though well below standards employees from within department who I consistently had to train and help as a supervisor recieved same postition

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Columbus, OH (took a day)
I applied online a couple days before Christmas and received an email in February saying I had been invited to a Super Day interview. Consisted of two 1:1s and a presentation. It went pretty smoothly. Presentation is meant to be informal but I printed a copy out to stand out from the crowd. Everyone was nice and easy to talk to. The questions were all behavioral. I didn't get any technical questions during the interview. Be prepared to have a question or two to ask after each interview and the presentation. Overall I had a good experience. The interview was 2/25 and I heard back on 3/8.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Columbus, OH (took 2 weeks)
I spoke with a recruiter and she set up an interview with two managers. Then later in the week before my interview the Branch Manager called to set up an interview. I accepted and let her know that a recruiter had also called. She asked if I could meet with her before that interview. She stated they may be looking at me for multiple positions. On a Friday I had an interview at the branch with the manager for about an hour and 15 minutes. It was rather informal more like a conversation, then she asked me a series of questions that Chase requires. Be prepared to talk about a challenge you over came, a competitive situation you were in and be prepared to sell a Chase product.
After I met with her I had a noon interview at Corporate. I arrived about 10 minutes early and waited 15 minutes past the interview’s scheduled time to meet with the Branch managers’ manager… a regional manager. She was tough. There was no conversation, no warm up she jumped right in to the hard questions including how much money I wanted. This got me. Don’t go low. This is a commission based position they want to know that you want to make money. I would suggest saying $50,000, after seeing how the commission structure played out and what would be expected of you. Then the regional manager took a call in the middle of the interview. She then had to go to lunch and asked if I could go back to the branch later that day and shadow, and speak with customers.
I went back to the Branch which was located in a Kroger’s. With the Branch Manager I walked around and spoke with Kroger shoppers about promotions Chase was offering. Everything came very natural to me and I thought I did an awesome job. I think things went really well with the Branch Manager, but not so great with the regional.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Columbus, OH (took a day)
It was a phone interview. The person I spoke to essentially said I was over qualified for the position and that I would not be happy working at a company like Chase. He said that I would most likely leave the company for a better position when the economy turned around. He didn't want to waste my time or his by only having me in position for just a few months. I accepted his position, but it still hurt. I really needed the job having been laid off just recently.
