Interviewed Apr 2009 in Bountiful, UT (took 2 weeks)
I submitted a resume through Monster.com. Initial phone call was really just to schedule in person interview. Interviewed by Investment Manager in person. He asked me to present an investment presentation to him. In addition to more traditional interview questions. I was later interviewed via telephone by his boss the Senior Investment Manager. Once again a fairly typical interview but he did ask me to make a investment sales presentation over the phone to him.

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took a day)
I applied for their summer internship in Sales and Trading. I only got to the first round phone interview. I believe that the full process is two rounds of phone interviews and then one day of several interviews in New York. One thing they were great about was letting you know quickly, either positively or negatively, how you did.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Nassau, NY (took 3 weeks)
I did an online application and assestment. 2 days later, I was telephoned and interviewed by HR. 10 minutes later, she called back and set me up with an interview at one of the branches. I did not get the job.
1 1/2 weeks later, she called and set up an interview at the main branch with both nassau county district managers. The next week, she called and sent me out to interview at another local branch. After being told that I would have to work every Saturday, and 2 nights during the week, I told the mgr. that it would conflict with my priority as a mother of young children, and I would be very willing to do alternating Saturdays, or even 2-3 Saturdays back to back, but cannot commit to Saturdays as my regular day. He told me that all the branches are different, and he'd like to see me get into a branch as soon as possible. After thanking and saying goodbye, I expected a call back from HR. 1 week passed, no call. I called HR and asked if I were still being considered for the position. I was told that because I was sent out to 2 branches and not hired, I was eliminated from the position. She told me she sent out email to me, which I never did get. When I explained that on my first interview with the other branch, I was told that their schedule involves rotating Saturdays, and I know that working Saturdays was an issue at the last interview, she insisted that I'd have to be available each and every Saturday that I am asked to work, even if it means working each Saturday. She told me that the last branch mgr I interviewed with told her I "was not a good fit" for his branch. I was shocked, since he had told me he'd like to see me get into one of the other branches asap. When telling her of this, she told me that I am still in the database, and that this was a good thing, because now I can apply to any job posting in there. Uhhh....okay, maybe I'll apply to the position of bank CEO. Gee, I wonder if HR needs any help in their dept? Anyway, this was the worst interviewing experience of my life. It was torture getting through the interviews in the first place, since it was apparent that they just want to hear what you know you are supposed to say. Kiss all the butt you can, and then maybe they'll let you in. I just got another offer 4 1/2 blocks from my house, with a more personal bank, and the mgr there is a woman, who totally related to what my life was like as a working mother of young kids. So, thank God Chase didn't hire me since I ended up with a better opportunity. The overall process of interviewing for the banker role took 30 days to the day. But as far as Chase, you'd better be ready to be on call!

Interviewed Jan 2009 in Mumbai (took 2 days)
I was a fresher and was giving an on campus interview.
The process was good. There was an online IQ Test followed by a GD and a couple of 1-1s.
The GD was awesome.
I was in a group of 7 people and it was a case study of 45 minutes.
There were 6 observers for the 7 of us. It was a really good experience.
The interviews were really good too. They were very calm and they made their requirements very cleaar right from the start.
No nonsense stuff. Straight and direct approach .

Interviewed Jan 2010 in New York, NY (took 3 days)
J.P. Morgan interviewers are direct and to the point. They want to know what you have accomplished, what you have learned, and are looking for what you can bring to the firm. My interview process consisted of a phone interview with a VP and a 2 on 1 interview with an MD and a ED. The two parts of the interview that stood out to me were when I was asked what a senior secured lender might want as collateral and when I was invited to ask a question myself.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in New York, NY (took a day)
I got a phone interview for full time, all questions were general, such as: Why JP, Why investment management, why financial industry. But be sure to be able to talk about your strengths and your weakness and your past experiences working with others. Also be sure you know how to answer questions regarding what you do that helps you get through everything- extracurricular, social- and still keep up with your grades.
Interviewer was extremely nice and very willing to share insights about working at JP.

Interviewed Jul 2008 (took 5 days)
I met with two people. Former colleagues of mine knew the hiring manager, so, they were able to give me a good recommendation. Nothing too technical was asked. It was just an open discussion on the projects I worked on and how my skillsets would translate to the position they were offering. It lasted about 1 1/2 hours and I received the offer two days later.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Dallas, TX (took a day)
Had an initial phone interview with recruiter and then e-mailed a questionnaire to fill out, more fore candidate screening. Was called in for an interview and asked standard questions, what would you do in certain circumstances, my experience with various applications, etc. Met with two VP's. Wasn't bad interview, competition was too fierce as I was competing against 8 other candidates. Which seems to be the norm nowadays.
