Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 2 weeks)
2 interviews, one in person, one on the phone. In person interview was very generic, but phone interview had regular "interview questions" that made me think. Office is very friendly, nice campus, but I didn't meet any of the other team members. Both interviews took about an hour.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 2 days)
Very standard hiring process. First contact was from the recruiter doing the initial screening. From there, two phone interviews with the hiring manager and one of his direct reports. Lastly, I was brought in for three face-to-face interviews with managers of the operation I would be supporting.
Throughout all, there were standard canned interview questions, but the focus seemed more towards getting to know me and my background. Everyone was quite friendly and now that I have worked here for several months, that has remained true.

Negotiation Details
The initial offer was pretty competitive and I was very motivated to leave my current position. I did manage to get a hiring bonus as compensation for leaving behind a lot of unvested RSUs. It was only a small portion of the potential RSU value, but it was cash now versus RSUs that would take three more years to completely vest. It's hard to say how much negotiating room there was. If you aren't afraid to scare them away, maybe test the waters a bit.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Dublin, County Dublin (Ireland) (took 2 days)
After applying and passing the psychometric test, 12 of us sat two one-on-one interviews. The first was a general interview, the second more skills based. Each interview was 45 minutes long but not difficult in terms of content. The following day, 6 of us were called back for an assessment day consisting of a presentation, group exercise, and final interview. This was much more challenging; the presentation required a cool head and wasn't too difficult. The group process was tough, and competitive. Final interview was just a cap on the day.

Interviewed Apr 2009 in Mumbai (India) (took 4+ weeks)
best way to reach company is via job consultants, as the hr forgets candidates refered by internal employee.
Negotiation Details
please negotiate as much as possible, always ask for 60 % hike. which might close the deal by 55 to 50 % hike. JPMC has the capability to pay more then 60%, so please do not make a mistake in salary discussions. be firm and they will surely pay.
but after joining the increments and bonus are very bad. hence u might have to change after few year if u want financial growth; as the financial growth of people who come from outside is very good as compared to internal candidates.
