Interviewed May 2011 (took 2 weeks)
All applications start online. If you pass the math/personality test, they will contact you by phone for interview #1 by a recruiter. If that goes well, interview #2 will be at the branch you are applying for in person. Interview #3 will be on the phone with the district manager. Job offer will come by phone from the same recruiter. I found out later that HR originally passed on my application even though I passed the math/personality test. I showed up in person every other day dressed nice and kept asking them about it (at two different branches in town). Finally a manager took notice and emailed the recruiter for me. That's how it all started and I guess I interviewed well. The hardest "question" was "Describe a time where you broke the rules/policy and why." They want to hear that you will go to bat for a customer and advocate, without being a problem employee with following the rules. They want to hear that you went up the chain of command in a special situation, and didn't just disregard the rules.

Negotiation Details
I wasn't really able to negotiate. They asked me what I was expecting to make and I said a number. Come to find out that was a little lower than others got, but thats what they gave me. If you think ur gonna make $15/hr, tell them you're expecting $17 and see where it goes from there. Or if you think you're gonna make $30k/ year say $35k and go from there.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, an IQ/Intelligence Test, a Personality Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Feb 2012 (took a day)
I interviewed for the Personal Banker position. You'll need to take an online test and then if you pass, a face to face interview with the branch manager. Overall it was a quick and efficient process. The manager asked all the general interview questions - especially about sales experience. The whole process took about 30 minutes.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 5 days)
The interview was very easy over the phone they wanted to know if you have any sales experince and how you would handle situations. The one on one interview wanted to make sure you are a ruthless sales person. As long as you are very proactive in your sales you will be hired for this job.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Bronx, NY (took 2 days)
I was called by a recruiter, she asked basic questions about my resume. Set me up with a regional manager interview. She said they were going to set an interview with the branch manager, never happened. Never received a call back from them. I wish they would at least sent me an email in order to tell me i was not chosen or anything that reflected that.

Interviewed May 2011 in Brooklyn, NY (took 1 week)
First, a phone interview. After the phone interview with the HR representative an interview with a District Manager was scheduled. Most people meet with two people at this interview, but because I didn't I was contacted a week after the DM interview by a branch manager who I interviewed with that day. It was not long after this that I received the offer. The first interview ALWAYS involves role play.
The interview with the DM sells the job very well and makes you think you'll earn $60,000+ and of course doesn't mention "call night" where personal bankers have to stay until 8:00 on Tuesdays to call and harrass customers. The BM I met with on the 2nd interview was great, unfortunately I was not put in his branch. When I received the offer I was told that I'd be working at a certain branch.. I decided to go one day before I started just to see how long it'd take from home, only to find out that the branch had burned down a year prior. After calling back, I received my actual branch.

This was the role play portion of interview

I didn't even think to negotiate, but I do know someone who did and was able to raise the base salary by $3,000. It's not an extravagant amount but why not earn more if you can?

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Westwood, CA (took 2+ weeks)
Got an email a few days after applying online. I received 9 rejections before gaining the interest of a specific branch. The phone interview was short and asked what I knew what the position consisted of. The interview with the branch manager was very relax and professional. Then the interview with the district manager was extremely casual and brief. He then told me to expect an offer soon and received a call offering me the position a few hours later.

Negotiation Details
The pay was good so I did not negotiate. There is slight room for negotiation, but must be ready to give a reason why you deserve more money.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Hewlett, NY (took a day)
If you really want this position, you need to be upbeat and conversational. Ask lots of questions about the interviewer time with the company and advancement opportunities. Be prepared to talk about what you can do to grow the branch's profitability and be ready with examples.
