Interviewed May 2011 in Raritan, NJ (took 4 months)
The process was pretty standard. Met with HR, some peer level professionals and then the hiring manager. The candidate pool was 7 (4 external and 3 internal). While the interviews went smoothly, the feedback process was non-existent. I connected with a former HR executive with JnJ and they acknowledged they are not exactly best practice within the HR staffing function and "be prepared for a process 3x longer than they actual tell you.".
I had been told they would provide feedback within 2 weeks. After 3 weeks, I initiated follow up. Over the next 6 weeks I tried to follow up 3 times by phone and/or email to both the hiring manager and HR lead and never got a response of any kind. 3 months later I tried again and the HR lead finally emailed back and said they hired an internal candidate a month ago and had told her assistant to call the other candidates. I know one of the other external candidates and he has never been contacted so it sounds like bs.
Bottom line, be patient and try to be persistent in following up without being a pest.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 2 days)
I applied online, and received email notification of an interview request. After a few phone exchanges and emails, 1 on 1 interviews with several people were set up over 2 days. After a few weeks after the interviews, I received an offer of employment. The compensation was about 10% above my prior compensation so I didn't ask for more. I lived close enough that I did not require relocation assistance, but had I lived >50 miles form the office, then a relocation package was available.
