Interviewed Feb 2012 in Troy, MI (took 3 days)
When the company called they wouldn't answer any of my questions other then the time, date, n place. There was about fifteen of us listening to this guy from New York, who moved to Ohio n now here to make mega millions. He still didn't explain to much other then. All the great stuff the company has done for the community. At the very end we finally realized we would b walking door to door 12hr days five days a week, to make potentially minimum wage.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took a day)
I received very uprofessional invitation to come in.Advertizement did not specify exact job description. I was there on time but other 10-15 people as well waiting for the same person and interview is 1:1. After a long wait a young man that introduced him self as an indipendant contractor walk me in asking me "Why sale?" before he offered me a seat and never closed the door of the interviewing room. Asked my copy of resume, did not leave impresion that he has ever seen it before. Also mentioned that his boss is against wasting a paper on peoples resume print out and then start with the further insult saying that he doesn't care if I have high education, experience or skills because he has job and I am there to beg him for one. I what type of sale and customer service is available saying that I wouldn't be interested in "door to door" sale... Then he rudly respond that I just blow up possibility to potetialy earn $1000.00 a week and he is the one who has a job and I am the one who suppose to loose the aptittude and beg him for one (again!) ...

While i am still in shock to hear this line again and again he said it one more time... This was incredibly insulting and disrespectfull. I just said that he is very lucky to have a JOB, but we have a wright to choose and I am choosing not to have him as my boss!
Regret to waste my time to meet this man with no manners or any kind of business aptitude!!

Interviewed Feb 2012 (took a day)
Got an email invitation to the interview. The email did not address me directly and was sent to a bunch of applicants at once. I could see their email addresses. It just invited to the interview and didn't specify the position. When I asked, they replied with the email that didn't have proper greetings or ending and said that they cannot tell me what kind of a position this is because I have to come in to find out. It looked like a high school student wrote it. I have never heard of such thing before. Unprofessional to say the least. How do they expect a candidate to excuse themselves from work to go and interview for some unknown position? I googled the company and found that they recently advertised sales jobs.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took a day)
There was one interview scheduled and I was offered a position based on that. The majority of the interview was discussing the company and trying to sell me as the interviewee to come work there with far more detail than was necessary or useful to the situation since I had no prior information on the company or type of work (which I stated). There was only one or two questions actually directed towards me.
There were five other candidates who showed up to the intake class with me (more were offered positions and declined) and none of us had a clear idea of what the job was. We were kept in the dark which is why half of that class did not bother to finish the 2 day training program once they learned more of the job.
Bottom line is that the interview process does not accurately outline the position or find suitable candidates for the job - I worked for three months there and was the only new hire to last more than 2-4 weeks, 1 week was average.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
The salary discussion in the interview was based on the potential to make money with the example of an average/low salary being $848/week if you make one small sale; the example of a signing a corner store was used. The numbers used were unrealistic to the average sale size and in the likelihood of the specific example used to take place which gives an unrealistic example of salary, particularly for a new sales agent.
At no point did the interviewer specifically state that it was a commission only job, nor was it stated that commission would take 4 weeks from point of sale to be processed into a paycheck and even then that pay could be taken back if the customer cancels the contract within two months of the sale.

They place ads in newspapers, word of mouth and online. The interview process is very simple; they basically are trying to figure out if you are outgoing, able to follow a script (they tell you exactly what to say to a prospect), and are able to close the deal. If you have any sales mentions on your resume, have an outgoing personality and speak clearly, you’re hired. It’s entirely a commission-only position, and after a while, you get the hang of it and can make lots of commissions. The company does have a bad rep, and has the tenancy to change names every few years or so. They ask why you want to join, what you can provide the company (salesmanship wise) and ask if you understand that there is no salary but commissions only. Due to the high turnover, they’ll hire basically anyone as long as you can answer these 3 questions successfully.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Ottawa, ON (Canada) (took 2 days)
I applied online and received a call a couple of days later. My interview was scheduled for the next morning. I showed up at 10am and there was another man there for an interview. I was called in for my interview 10 minutes later and in that ten minutes of waiting about 10 guys came in, all young and looking happy (an hour early for work which starts at 11). Then the boss came out from the back gave someone 20 bucks to buy everyone coffee and timbits and asked if everyone wanted to go out for breakfast. I went in for my interview with a young woman, by myself. The only question she asked me was if I was leaving the military. What an interview, my boyfriend was right! they will literally take anyone! If all they're interested in is if I'm going to leave my other job, that's a bad sign. She told me that it's 60$ a sale (which takes 5-10 minutes) and the hours are 11am-9pm. The boss brings in bonuses like cameras and whatnot all the time and sometimes they go out for lunch and breakfast. She also mentioned that they send everyone who meets an average quota on a 2 week expenses paid trip (the next one being to Italy). Sounds like a dream, but it's 100% commission

Reason for Declining
I told her I was skeptical because i am not sales oriented and felt bad as a kid going door to door selling candy or collecting cans, let alone ripping people off for thousands of dollars. My boyfriend got hit by the company that Just Energy just bought out last month. They told him it would be cheaper than Enbridge but his bill is now wayyyy higher because he's using a middle man and pays all these ridiculous fees. NO thank you, I will not harass/rip off people for a living!

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 days)
Saw an ad on craigslist for a team manager. It said only apply by telephone but gave no details - not even company name. I called the number and was invited for interview next day. When I turmed up I was asked to fill out a 2 page application. Then I was taken into a board room with 19 other candidates.
Here we got a 25 minute presentation about the company and how we can earn a lot of money. Then we were split up into two groups of ten and each group went into a smaller room. Here we were interviewed in front of the other candidates. That was weird. Then we were given a business card and were asked to call the interviewer back between 4-5pm to see if we made it to the next stage.
I called back at 4.15pm and was invited to attend stage 2 the next day. The time was 8.15am to approx 7pm for "testing". We were asked to dress business casual. At this point I decided not to attend. The reason being I applied for managers job and was told that I had to start off at entry level and work my way up but could achieve that within 1 year. I was not impressed.
Also on the application form, they ask for 3 references - which is ok but seperate to that they want names and addresses and full contact details for 3 relatives - I thought this was strange
