Interviewed Feb 2012 in Atlanta, GA (took 4+ weeks)
Got the first round interview by applying through the university career website and attending career fair at university. The first round was mainly behavioral. Questions focused on your resume, leadership and working in teams. I got invited to the second round interview and flew to Atlanta and stayed in a hotel (at their expense) within walking distance of the KPMG office. The second round consisted of a manager interview, sr. manager interview, and associate lunch/interview. The number of associates varies depending on the number of applicants for that area. I had lunch with 3 associates and 3 other applicants. The interviews were based on testing your personality and how well you would fit in. The best advice I can give you is to be confident. They know when you are nervous. And don't let KPMG's reputation as being the most personable big4 fool you. They are more serious than you think.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took a day)
I did the first round interview on campus. It was a 30 min interview with one Senior Manager and one Manager from the EVS group.
After a week I was invited for the super day at KPMG's Atlanta office.
I did 5 back to back interviews with the Senior Management. The interviews were all conversational.
There were also two cases - one technical case (on DCF) and one writing sample (on Comparable Company Analysis).
I heard back from the partner after 2 weeks with the good news.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 2+ weeks)
Allied through college website. Invited for a trivia night on the eve of interview. It was a good opportunity to interact with interviewers in an informal setting. The interview was fairly easy with questions based on the resume and experience. The interview was for 45 minutes. I received very positive and encouraging feedback during interview however I was not invited to second round of interviews. The employees came off as warm and collaborative in nature. Only issue was that I was led to believe that I will be invited for second round but I did not get the offer. Take any on the spot feedback with a pinch of salt.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Atlanta, GA (took 3 weeks)
First round was a phone interview and it went well
Got office visit, most of KPMG associates were friendly and nice. Only problem - I did not like the team that I was interviewing for. There was a partner presentation followed by 3 interviews (manager/sr Manager/Associate)
I was highly disinterested in the process because of the negative vibes and treatment by the team. Did not care at all - going into this office visit I had offers from 2 other bigger+better big4s

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 4+ weeks)
I applied through my school's career services website and got an on-campus interview. This consisted of going through specific items on my resume with a senior advisory associate. There were some simple technical questions, but only because I had mentioned specific technical experience on my resume. HR said I would hear about the outcome in two weeks, and in exactly two weeks I received a phone call inviting me to the on-site interviews.
For the second round of interviews they put me up in nice hotel adjacent to their office building the night before (seems like fewer companies are doing this lately). There were two 1:1 interviews, both with managers in Advisory. The first was another round of going through my resume and talking about myself, and the second consisted of the manager asking me some typical behavioral interview questions from a list. Afterward some younger associates took the candidates to lunch. Overall it was a nice experience; everyone was friendly and positive about their work.

Interviewed Oct 2008 in Atlanta, GA (took 2 months)
fun, but intense. I interviewed with all the big 4, went to office visits for them all. Staying in the Ritz is great, but no matter how comfortable the bed is, you can't sleep knowing your job offer depends on your performance the next day! There is a great deal of pressure, but it is a very structured process, and you are likely going through it with many of your peers from school.

negotiations? you take whatever a big4 firm will give you. When considering offers, don't care about a few thousand dollars difference in salary... go with the firm with best work environment and clients you want to work on.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Atlanta, GA (took a day)
I gained contact with the company through a meeting held by UGA's SMIS organization for Management Information Systems majors. Afterwards, I attended a Fall Recruitment dinner also held by SMIS where many companies were represented (including KPMG). I made further contacts with them there, emailed them afterwards and interviewed with them on campus a week or so later.
