Interviewed Feb 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 5 days)
Both interviews were great and professional. The phone interview provided a good description of the job expectations and the environment. The 1:1 was very professional, focused on what I know and how I can bring value to the Team and to the company. One year later I can say that everything I was told in the interview still applies, and I still feel the same excitement as day one.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took a day)
Interviewers were extremely pleasant, and made the entire process seem like a normal dialogue. Interview predominantly focused on fit questions, and reviewing what was already on my resume.
There were no case study questions.

First round of interview is very casual where they just want to see that you are able to uphold a conversation. Not a lot of behavioral questions.
Second round of interviews is much more intensive and lasted about 3 hrs with general interviews with a senior manager where you just discuss ideas and stuff and a behavioral interview with a partner. Much more structured than the first one.

Interviewed Apr 2009 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 days)
The interview process is based on behavioural questions. (i.e. tell me about a time when....). Questions surround topics like: teamwork, communication, talking about your experience on your resume, etc...
The interview process consists of a dinner the night before with the hiring managers of all the audit groups.
Thereafter, the next day, you have an interview with a senior manager and partner. There is also a lunch after both interviews.
You typically hear back on the same day if they are willing to extend and offer.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took a day)
I had a group interview with two actuarial analysts. it was a fairly casual one. No tricky questions at all. During the first part of interview, they basically asked my previous work experience, my credentials. Then, they took out a sheet with a list of behaviour questions and randomly several ones. (ie: tell me how do you deal with deadline, confict with co-worker, 3 strengths, ect.)

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 months)
I've had about 4 phones interview and 1 in-person interview. Phone interviews were with an HR person and then with senior executives all around the world. The questions were not hard, but the interviews were still quite challenging. Information that has been shared with me about the company was actually the reason I finally didn't take the job.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
2 of the executives I've spoken too were really candid talking about the negative aspects of the job and the company, and although I told them every time that I was still interested, when it came down to signing the offer, everything they told me has finally settled in and I didn't take that risk. Basically I've been talked out of the job by the hiring managers themselves. :)

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took a day)
Received interview through email. Somewhat disorganized as it was the first year that the IT-CA training position was opened up for KPMG. Did not even realize what position I was being interviewed for until the actual interview (Emailed and Phoned Human Resources and anyone I could reach but could not get a response back). Asked standard personal and behavioral questions.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Vancouver, BC (Canada) (took a day)
Went through numerous recruitment networking sessions during the Summer and in September, applied received interview invitation both by phone and by email. Interviewer made you feel very much at ease and the interview is mainly behavioral questions and about things on your resume.
Make sure you know your resume/CACEE form very well. And if there are courses you have done poorly on, be prepared to talk about it.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Burnaby, BC (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
I completed the skill testing on line as a first step. The phone interview was basic. A waste of time. The face to face interview was relaxed and about an hour and a half. I felt some of the questions were inappropriate (personal stuff like how's your health, how many sick days do you take, do you have kids). The person who interviewed me showed an interest immediately and wanted to set up an interview with the partner I would be working for. She called the next day with a time to meet the partner. The meeting was cancelled last minute due to a scheduling conflict. It was rescheduled and cancelled again. The following week I got a call from HR in Toronto and advised that they were going forward with another applicant. I truly believe that this person came along last minute as there were no other applicants being interviewed when we spoke. I would never apply at KPMG again.
