    The hiring/ interview process was pretty typical of a Big 4/ consulting environment; initial phone screening by a recruiter, phone call interviews (mostly behavioral and fit based) with Sr. Manager/ Director. Followed by in-person interview at local KPMG office with Director/ Partner.

    The one thing I will say about the process is that the scheduling was VERY unorganized and the phone calls somewhat disinterested. Prior to scheduling an interview the recruiter/ or assistant would reach out and ask for availability for the following week, after providing it, I got no response. After the week was up I issued a follow up email and was again asked to provide availability for the NEXT week, no apology or justification for delay in response. I would be contacted 24-48 hours prior to the scheduled interview via email confirmation, no phone call/ or email to confirm my availability.

    Finally, after going through this disorganized practice and poor applicant experience (5 weeks in), I simply informed them I had accepted another offer and declined the final interview.

    My Interview got scheduled after 3 weeks of applying through a recruiter. I just had it today , it was phone interview. I have read lot of reviews on this website and found it useful, so posting my first round discussion here. I have not recieved any feedback yet as it was only 3 hrs back.

    I applied through campus recruiting. Filled out application online and received notice of an interview request from them through my school's career website. After scheduling my interview I received an invitation to a Pre-Interview Event. The event was business casual and I got to meet my interviewer along with other KPMG employees; snacks and refreshments were provided.

    The interview process is a typical HR round. They asked questions about my resume, work experience, education and such. Also there were two behavioral questions about team experience. Very basic stuff.

    I filled the application form online. Several days later, I was invited to do an online test. After I past test, it took some time to arrange the first round interview. After about a month time, I got my first round interview. Three days after the first round interview, I was invited to have a second round interview. The whole process was smooth and efficient. The staffs I met are friendly and professional. Generally, it is a very good experience.

    Interview

    I was contacted by a KPMG recruiter, based on my profile in Monster. During the initial phone conversation with the recruiter, I was considered and offered a low rank position that was not measuring upto my experience and knowledge. Consequently, I decided not to proceed further with the interview process.

    Three months later, I was contacted again, this time by a different recruiter for a different position. After receiving several phone calls and emails from the KPMG recruiter, I fixed a mutually agreed date and time to discuss the position by phone. However I never received any phone call and the next day early morning, he chose to send me an email informing me that they are not proceeding with my candidature, since I was considered previously.

    I had waited for the recruiter's phone call that day for more than 25 minutes. This was very difficult, since I work in a client site. The least that the recruiter could have done was to call me and offer the explanation that was given out in his email. Moreover, it was I who had decided in the first place, three months earlier, not to proceed further with the interview process, based on the low rank offered. However, this recruiter chose to spin the story in a different way in his email.

    Overall, the experience with the recruiter was not good. The recruiters should do a better job and respect the candidate's time.

    Extremely professional firm, first a phone interview, then an in person meeting for a half day of interviews with various partners, focused mainly on finding right fit as opposed to anything technically difficult. Work culture seemed somewhat formal, office was quiet, but good mis of locals and expats. Only advice would be to be yourself.

    Initial interview followed by phone conversation. This followed by 2 stage interview process of first round presentation then partner interview. Content of the presentation was dated and generic - not aligned to my sector knowledge and experience. The attitude of the presentation reviewer was to try to trip me up, and was confrontational. The partner interview lacked candour, and felt artificial.
