Difficult Interview

B2B Radio Sales Interview

B2B Radio Sales
Salt Lake City, UT

I applied online and the process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at KSL Media in March 2014.

Interview Details – Secretary scheduled interview, and then had initial interview with 2 managers about 2 weeks later. High security work place

Interview Question – Compared to print media or product selling- how would you sell radio air space?   Answer Question

Reason for Declining – The drive was too far away, plus they do NOT give car allowances, phone allowances, computer allowances, or a base salary. 100% commission. I could not justify spending countless hours driving to see clients and have no re-emburstment

Traffic Manager Interview

Traffic Manager
Salt Lake City, UT

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 days - interviewed at KSL Media in March 2009.

Interview Details – One interview; I was called a few hours later and offered the job. It was a really easy process, but they really needed the position filled immediately so it's probably not indicative of their hiring process for most other positions.

Interview Question – None. All were very straight-forward and to the relevance of the position. I hate those "name a time in your life when you exerted blah-blah-blah" and I was pleasantly surprised to not have to field any of those questions.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – She offered what I required on the application. AH! SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR MORE! Next time...

I applied online - interviewed at KSL Media in February 2012.

Interview Details – I met with 4 or 5 managers of different accounts, the whole process took about 2 hours. The people there are very friendly and nice. Most questions are about my past experience and class projects. Other questions like: why do you want to work here, what is your career goal.

Assistant Media Planner Interview

Assistant Media Planner

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at KSL Media in October 2011.

Interview Details – Met with a lot of different people, but it wasn't really clear which people I would be working with. Had five different in person interviews, which I got after a phone interview. Seemed like the office was pretty busy and one of the interviewers seemed like she was trying to scare me with the difficulty level of the work.

Interview Question – I am interviewing a lot of people, so what makes you stand out? What can you tell me that makes you stand out from the others.   Answer Question
