Applied through state online system. Received phone call to schedule in person interview. Overall department seemed easy going. Mostly a group of engineers and architects. Facilities were somewhat dated on campus. The subsection of the department they were hiring for must have had some serious problems with the person they were replacing. Seemed overly concerned with being blind sided during construction processes and with how the candidate would respond to group design work and implementing the design work of others.

They called me in for a half day interview and covered all travel and stay plans. I had an introductory and exit interview with the VP for NSE. In between, I had two group interviews. The questions were intensive and sometimes even vague but the people were very patient and hospitable. An example of a questions would be, "Describe an example when you had to separate the person from the issue at hand".

someone recommended me to a faculty, who needed some fresh PhD to work on a project from a company and collaborate with the scientists in that company. My skills, experiences and background knowledge match this position very well. The professor made an appointment to interview me after he received my resume and the recommendation letters. The first interview was 1-1 phone screening followed by a panel interview. The interviews went through very well and an offer was made very soon. I accepted this offer.

Took a 10 hour course on what it is to be a personal trainer, went through the process of accepting and training clients, safety practices, certifications, followed by completing some exercises. At the end of the course all applicants took a written test, if scored high enough you moved on to an audition with an actual client while the person(s) in charge of hiring were present.
