Very Easy Interview
I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Kaplan Higher Education in February 2010.
Interview Details – The Kaplan interview (or audition, as they like to call it) is straightforward. I had to teach a class of ten other candidates a five minute lesson on any subject. Kaplan just wants to see if you can teach and wants to make sure they're not hiring any loose cannons (i.e. no racial/sexual/etc jokes). Most of the candidates are accepted into their paid training program (meets once a week for around five weeks). If your standardized test scores are below the 90th percentile or out of date, you will be required to sit one of Kaplan's practice exams and get an acceptable score.
Interview Question – What problems might you see in the classroom and how would you deal with them? Answer Question
Your feedback has been sent to the team and we'll look into it.
The difficulty rating is the average interview difficulty rating across all interview candidates.
The interview experience is the percentage of all interview candidates that said their interview experience was positive, neutral, or negative.
