Admissions Counselor at Keiser University

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Miami, FL Jul 2012 – Reviewed Aug 7, 2012

Interview Details – Applied online through their website and was contacted a couple of days later for a "group information session". We were about 10 applicants and spent an hour listening to the Associate Director of Admissions tell us about Keiser and about the position. I thought this was a great way to find out details about their expectation. After we introduced ourselves, he asked us to leave our resume on the desk before leaving if we were interested in continuing with the application process. He would then screen out who was qualified and call us for a 2nd interview.

Community Relations Coordinator at Keiser University

No Offer – Interviewed in Lakeland, FL Oct 2011 – Reviewed Oct 30, 2011

Interview Details – After completing the application process online, I received a phone call approximately two days later scheduling an interview. The interview consisted of an informational session which lasted about forty minutes and a short break was taken. After the break, everyone that desired to remain in the selection process returned from the break and all others departed. The next step in the process required each candidate to describe in detail why you are the best candidate for the position and if you are not hired what are your plans. Each candidate was asked to answer the questions in the presence of all the other candidates. This was very uncomfortable. The interviewers stated that some candidates will be invited back to complete a presentation.

The interviewers were very nice and informative. The school personnel appeared to be very professional and courteous.

Financial Aid Officer at Keiser University

No Offer – Interviewed in Nov 2012 – Reviewed Nov 14, 2012

Interview Details – Gave entire overview of Keiser and position, salary, and working hours then asked tell me about yourself, chimed in on some processes, then stated only want general overview of who you are and will call back for second interview. Only one question.

Interview Question – They wanted a dialogue based interview but I believe you may not get what you really want from an interviewee when your not asking questions....I have the experience and knowledge, very professional, but I think I was interviewed by mistake, they were looking for bilingual candidates, interviewer stated had one open position for English only position, but was looking for the right fit as far as the culture of the company.   Answer Question

Academic Dean at Keiser University

No Offer – Interviewed in Mar 2011 – Reviewed Jul 10, 2012

Interview Details – I was contacted by a recruiter for the position. The recruiter conducted an initial screening including my background, skills, and interests; salary history; most recent performance rating and bonus; and references. I moved on to a phone interview with the Campus President who would supervise the position. I next interviewed on the phone with the regional head of academics. She asked some scenario based questions and seemed to be most interested in how I would supervise faculty. The next step would have been an in-person interview on campus but I lost out on the position to an internal candidate.
