Interviewed Sep 2010 in Cincinnati, OH (took 2 weeks)
You first have an initial phone interview. It is pretty basic questions. If you pass through the phone interview, someone will call to set up a personal interview. My first interview was one on one. It is a lot of situational/behavior questions. These can be tough, but take your time and answer honestly and efficiently. The questions are mainly about your experiences and sales. About one week later, if you move on, there is another interview with a panel that asks the same type of questions.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Phila, PA (took 4 weeks)
Contacted by recruiter and did phone screen with HR, then made it to the 2nd round which was another phone screen with the hiring manager. After about a week I was notified that I made it to a panel interview. This was conducted at their Regional Office. They paid for airfare, car and hotel the night before the interview. I was told to prepare a "live resume" powerpoint presentation that would cover my background in detail. This presentation was to last 15-20 minutes. After the presentation I was interviewed in depth by the panel which consisted of the Hiring manager, HR manager, Area GM and a Marketing manager. This interview was very stoic, by the book without any emotion and consisted entirely of behavioral questions. Each interviewer asked 5 questions and lasted over an hour. They gave no feedback and would not elaborate on a question if asked they would only repeat the question. After the interview I had the opportunity to ask detailed questions about the role but only was given generic answers. A week or so later I received a email from HR stating that "the position is no longer available". After calling the HR and Hiring manager to follow up, I received no response from either. Later I found out that a internal candidate was promoted although they touted throughout the interview they wanted leadership and experience.

very unprofessional. if you want a job merchandising then do not imply that you have any real education or intend to move up the ladder at all. they are looking for people who they can work and use without any care for the future. it took over 3 weeks just to get a phone screen.
