Getting an Interview
Community Manager Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at KickApps in February 2010.
Interview Details – Phone interview, followed by in-person interview with same person as phone interview, then interviews with two other people on the team. The phone interview lasted about 45 minutes, and the in-person interview was about another hour. The additional interviews with other team members were very hekpful in getting their perspective on the organization, work culture, and environment. Overall, a very positive experience!
Interview Question – Describe a tough situation you've had to handle when building a technical community resource, primarily focusing on third party plugin developers. Answer Question
Reason for Declining – Chose a competing offer from another firm.
