Interviewed Jan 2011 (took a day)
@K+N SINGAPORE
First impression count and I must say the HR did not do itself justice by going on attack mode on certain parts of your resume during the initial call up for interview.
Next, made last minute change of interview date/time. Upon arrival, another candidate was being interviewed by hiring manager and had to wait an hour. The best part was, when it was my turn, the hiring manager was shocked and had to scramble for my application as she had a mix up with the HR manager. The hiring manager was also on attack mode with candidates, even had the audacity to ask: "did you come late for your interview?". Even after clarifying that it was an internal mix up, no apology. Tells you heaps on what kind of people works there. Mostly female working environment and a good number of them from HK after they relocated the regional HQ to SIN.
The main interview basically was a non event, with a HR rep and the hiring manager asking superficial questions and rambling off topic abt the weather in SIN. Totally unprofessional. Another baffling part was how they beat down the job. They told me that you frequently need to work over time and K+N will not compensate you for this. The work is fire-fighting in nature and when asked about opportunities in such a big MNC, the faces turn sour and avoided the question and keep emphasizing there are "2000 port pairs to review, its no laughing matter". Understood. But the laughing matter was the interview.
Its a big company with a grand sounding title. But from my experience, its a "KIO SAI" job in local lingo if you know what I mean. Don't expect them to pay you alot also as from the body language of the interviewers, its peanuts for a mountain of work.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Jersey City, NJ (took 4+ weeks)
People were nice and courteous.
Interviews were focused on background, experience, what I have to offer the company, what I plan to do/change if selected.
Some general questions ... something like a business-case.
