Interviewed Jul 2011 in New York, NY (took 5+ weeks)
The interview process for consultants was extremely efficient. KS often hires direct out of undergrad, but the process is pretty similar for experienced hires and undergrads. The partners and senior consultants who interviewed me in the New York office were selling themselves just as much as I was selling myself. They made me feel wanted. The process consisted of three rounds. First was the personality screen on the phone by HR. Next, I had an initial case interview in the New York office, which served as a screen, which I passed. The next step was to pass two diff skills/IQ tests online. It was very ambiguous, impossible to prep for, but somehow I passed (even though I thought I failed). The final round consisted of four interviews with partners. The entire process took less than two months. At no time did I feel "left out to dry" when waiting to hear back. KS was great about their decision turnaround time and moving candidates along through the process. I interviewed at several other top consulting firms (and received offers from them), and KS was by far the best about making you feel wanted.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 2 days)
Completed a computerized cognitive reasoning test. Questions tested quantitative skills and critical reasoning skills. It was a timed test so you had to work quickly.
The interview consisted of a 45 minute behavior part and a 45 minute case study. Interviewers were kind and professional.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Minneapolis, MN (took a day)
Found out about the job through my college career website. Applied on KSA website and was contacted (by email) for a phone interview. Had to take an algebra test before the phone interview. Did the 30-45 minute phone interview and the interviewer seemd to like my replies to her questions. But I did not receive an offer. It's important to know alot about KSA- the more you know, the more impressed the interviewer will be. Also if you're a biomedical engineer applying, formulate a good reason why they should hire you over an industrial engineer.

Interviewed May 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
The first round was a phone screen by the HR asking about the goals and interests. The second year was the 1-1 interview with a Senior Manager in the NYC office. It was mostly behavioral and a discussion of the prior experiences. The third round was a discussion with a senior manager, followed by case, and a discussion with Partner. It wasn't a traditional case interview. The case was very specific on a IT domain. I was given the case and the senior manager asked me to work on it and left the room. He returned after half hour with the partner and asked me to present the solution.

Interviewed Mar 2011 (took a day)
The first interview was on the phone. It consisted primarily of behavioral questions. The questions were pretty standard like: Walk me through your resume; what do you know about KSA; why do you want to be a consultant? why do you want to work for KSA etc... I was interviewed by one of the directors.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 4 days)
Started with an internship fair and an invite to an information session. I was chosen to participate in a skills test on a pass/fail basis. I then was invited to an interview session. The interview was composed, first, of a case interview and then followed by an interview with the recruiter. If chosen past this point there were more interviews to be had at the actual office.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in New York, NY (took 2 months)
Very long interview process. Had a phone interview first, then an in-person, then they flew me to New York for a final round of interviews. Fairly straight forward cases - nothing that you need to prepare for - although one has a presentation component, so be mentally prepared. Made it to the final interview with the Managing Director, and they declined to make an offer. They did pay for the trip to New York + expenses though. Everyone was very friendly along the way and I was disappointed not to get an offer.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
Had to take two tests on campus and meet with current employees before being offered an interview. The interview was a case and behavioral, but the case wasn't really what I expected...not a typical case.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
1st round: Wunderlich Test (12 min, 50 questions) very easy logic, reading, vocab analogy problems, and some math problems, no points off for guessing just watch your time especially on the math calculations
& Critical Thinking Business Skills Test (interpreting graphs, critical thinking problems etc..)
both tests were on a computer and you could use scratch paper but you had to hand it in
2nd round: two 30 min 1:1 interviews, 1 case with a consultant, 1 behavioral with the recruiter
nothing out of left field, very straightforward
