Interviewed May 2012 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
I applied on-line through the website, got a very quick reply (less than a week) and invitation to the first round interview. The interview consisted of a numeracy test - GMAT data sufficiency style and comparing different quantities deciding which one is greater (eg 1/59-1/95 vs 1/38-1/83). The interview was one on one with a manager. First one was a market sizing question, second one was a strategy case. Other than that usual chat about why LEK, why life science, why do I want to change a career from PhD to business. The interviewers were very nice.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took 2 days)
There were two rounds of interviews.
1st round: 3 interviews. Two with mid level staff and one with a senior level staff. These consisted primarily of case and behavioral interviews. Expect a typical market sizing question and another broader problem solving question. The interview with the senior staff can be more unpredictable as they can throw pretty much anything at you, could be a case study or they could just want to chat about a random topic that might be on your resume
If you get past the first round there will be a dinner before the final round. Just be yourself and be sociable. The staff are quite nice and easy to chat to. It won't win you the job but it could lose you the job if you come across to aggressively or give off a negative impression.
Final round will be with two senior partners. Expect to talk about anything and just be relaxed. Know your resume inside out and be thoughtful and considered in your answers

Interviewed Feb 2012 (took 3 weeks)
The employees and managers were all really helpful throughout the interview process. The interview itself was definitely very difficult with typical case questions that you would expect at any consulting firm. LEK, though, is a strategy consulting firm so questions definitely tend to have more strategy or implications of data associated with it. The interview consisted of 2 rounds, first round on campus and second round at the office. The first round was with 2 people while the 2nd round was with three different managers at the office.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Sydney (Australia) (took 2 weeks)
Very fast process, from time of application took only a few days before interviews were set up. Interview format was three thirty minute interviews, consisting of 2 case studies and one general interview.
Then if successful the next week they give you a presentation and take you out to dinner with the other candidates. Then you have two thirty minute interviews with the partners later in the week.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in City of London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
The interview consisted of two one-on-one meetings with consultants plus an easy numeric skills test.
Each meeting, in turn, consisted of a general chit-chat about past achievements, future expectations, etc. and a case interview question. I only spent a couple of days going through "Case in Point" assuming that my background as a successful PhD-level life scientist will show my analytical skills and learning abilities, even if I am not yet experienced at case problems. This was a mistake - I was not shortlisted for the next round and when I asked for feedback, I was told that my case interview performance was below their expectations, while everything else was fine. While case interviews may be the only way to screen graduates, using them as principal means to select people wishing to switch from other successful careers may not seem like the most sensible strategy. However, like it or not - if you wish to get the job at the LEK, I suggest you get some experience in case interview questions.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Boston, MA (took a day)
I was contacted the day after my resume was submitted and invited for a first-round phone interview. The interview consisted of two thirty minute back-to-back case interviews. We jumped right into the case in both situations. One case was a general market-sizing questions and the second dealt specifically with the strategy behind introducing a new drug to market in a country outside of the US and Europe. We got to some behavioral questions after the case with one of the interviewers. Questions were pretty standard but it was obvious he was trying to make clear to me that he didn't think I had the background for consulting. I received a form e-mail 4-5 days later as a rejection. The company has a no feedback policy so you get no explanation as to why you weren't asked to continue interviewing.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
First round: I had 2x45 min interviews starting with CV questioning and moving on to a case. The first interview had a strategy case about a cardboard box manufacturer. They were looking at moving in to the food, pharmaceutical or cigarette industry. I had to assess which was more attractive. In the second interview I had a market sizing case - the number of pigs slaughtered in the UK for food each year. Both interviewers were really nice people and made me feel at ease.
These interviews were followed by a GMAT style data sufficiency test.
