Interview Details –
1 -2 weeks after my co-worker handed in my resume through Lba126 employer, both senior HR / HR coordinator contacted me for the phone interview.
While Senior HR sent me the job description "Product Manager- Hardware" I needed to clarify about that since my resume shows mostly software experience. She asked to clarify that is Hardware and kind enough to ask me whether i want to talk to hiring manager. I said NO
I provided available dates and the phone interview was scheduled for 45 mins.
The interviewer, named XX, called me at the exact time and had 30 minutes conversation.
He introduced about the position but duh-- he said he is looking for actually 2 positions ; 1 is software product manager and the other is HW product manager. (If i knew this, i did not need to waste my time to re-brainstorm my experience with hardware)
He asked me
1) How my role( program manager) different from product marketing?
2) Have i worked closely with product manager?
3) Whether i implemented user interacting application?
4) In my previous product, what kind features were in due to whcih value proposition?
