Interviewed Feb 2010 in Atlanta, GA (took 5 days)
The interview process begins with a phone interview with the HR representative handling the position. They may contact you at any time during their business hours, which run from 8am to 5pm. During this part of the interview process, your qualifications and interest for the position are measured. A brief description of the position available is given to you and questions you may have for the HR rep are answered. Once the conversation is complete the HR rep gets in touch with the supervisor for the position and gives them the run down and their thoughts on your candidacy. If the green light is given, a second call will follow with the purpose to schedule and appointment for a face to face interview.
At the face to face, the supervisor and HR rep will meet with you and ask a few questions in regards to your problem solving skills, customer service skills and phlebotomy experiences. Example situations will be presented to you to gauge your response and reaction. I strongly recommend that when asked such questions, you pause and THINK about your response. Do not blurt out the first thing that comes to mind but process the information and state it clearly. Supervisors and managers like to see prospective employees problem solve effectively. A supervisor may also ask you to partake in a "play acting" of the way in which you would approach a patient in a phlebotomy setting.
If your interview goes well, you will receive a call within 24 to 48 hours from your face to face with an offer and if you ROCKED your interview, you should receive a call within 20 minutes from your face to face, as I did.

Negotiation Details
Phlebotomy is essentially entry level so negotiating an hourly wage is not recommended. Generally, LabCorp pays fairly and takes into account previous salary to years of experience to education ratios.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Personality Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took a day)
Was called by HR regarding position and was given an immediate phone interview asking questions pertaining to last employment experience, skills assessment, willingness to work overtime, and ability to drive to employment location. Several situational questions were involved as well.
When phone interview is a-ok, HR forwards information to hiring manager of the area. Interview with the hiring manager was very lax but questions relate to skill level, experience level, committment to work hours, customer service skills, and ability to perform general office duties and billing. Overall they weren't expecting you to answer with wordy "i am so and so type of person" answers. It was very straight-to-the-point, so you must do your homework and know the profession.
After the interview I left with better understanding of corporate structure, what they expect of the candidate, and training procedures but it is difficult to gauge if I was liked or not. Very neutral.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Issaquah, WA (took 2 weeks)
Was contacted by HR rep and had initial phone interview, setup more extensive phone interview for later that week. Passed both phone interviews then proceeded to interview face to face during the second week. Problem was I was interviewing for a $72,000 Trainer position that was posted for external applicants only. Was then told during the face to face that they only filled those positions internally and they only post it externally to draw in highly qualified applicants for lower paying positions IE the $14.50 hr job I was offered on the spot and was told It would only be on the table while I was in the room. I politely told them No Thank You and asked them to never waste my time again.

Reason for Declining
