Very Easy Interview
The process took 2 days - interviewed at Land O'Lakes in February 2013.
Interview Details – simple interview process. Was told about the company and position and asked a few questions.
Interview Question – Few basic questions: How do you handle stress? What type of organizational skills do you have? How do you deal with an unsatisfied customer? I think there were about 4 or 5 actual standard interview questions. Answer Question
I applied online - interviewed at Land O'Lakes in August 2012.
Interview Details – Quick and relatively easy phone interview. Followed up by a phone call the following day for a face to face interview for the following week. Interview was very informal. Very comfortable interview with 3 different individuals. I got the feeling that they were interviewing me as a formality and the candidate was already selected when the HM said "It really sounds like you would be more beneficial in our X division and sometimes you have to do what is best for your department and sometimes you have to do what is best for the company." I did not appreciate this comment. The HM could have just came out and said that I was over qualified for the position.
Interview Question – Name a mistake that you made and how you fixed it. Answer Question
I applied through college or university and the process took a day - interviewed at Land O'Lakes in May 2011.
Interview Details – Company recruited on campus, secured interview through this. Interview consisted of two 30 minutes sessions with a total of 2 interviewers. First session was strictly behavioral questions, very formal. Second session was more personality type questions, more informal and attempting to dig into what really motivates you and why you made certain choices in your career.
Interview Question – Tell me about a time when you made a mistake or something went wrong. Answer Question
I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Land O'Lakes in December 2010.
Interview Details –
The interviewer asked typical interview questions. Overall, she did most of the talking. She seemed to be more interested in telling me about herself, the position, and the company than asking me about my qualifications in detail. It was a struggle to get a word in edgewise.
I rated this interview negatively because the post interview communication was horrible and very unprofessional. My HR contact did not respond to my email about the status of the position (after 2 weeks had passed), and she was very rude when I was finally able to reach her by phone. This was a complete 180 from our initial contact.
Pros: Employee oriented company rich with tradition and focused on the butter business. – Full Review
