Interviewed Apr 2011 (took 4 weeks)

I applied for the position through my University. The company sent me a skills/IQ/personality test and I was asked to complete it within 24 hours.

Once they received all test scores, they interviewed applicants based on how well their scores matched with the companies employee model.

I was chosen because I scored extremely high on the test (they told me this). I was interviewed 1:1 on the campus and was asked for an on-site job visit in the following weeks.

I carried on email correspondence with my interviewer and after three weeks of unsuccessfully setting up an on-site visit (they couldn't find an appropriate day where they wouldn't be too busy), I was told that they are looking for more experienced applicants to fill their currently open account manager positions.

However, I think what happened is that my original interviewer had been promoted and now the new director in charge was going to start the interviewing process from scratch and didn't care to finish up the slack the previous guy had left.

It was very disappointing because I had been lead on for four weeks, I really was interested in the job, and they wanted me but we couldn't get our schedules to sync up. I think the timing just happened to be off.

Just to note, they do seem like a great company full of great people, which just makes my misfortune even more unfortunate...
