Interviewed Jul 2010 (took 2 weeks)
The employee presented me with the company profile and raved about the pay. After emailing them twice and calling several times, I finally was able to get a response. Two interviews later, I learned that the pay rate was very low and below my salary requirements.

Interviewed Dec 2009 (took 2 days)
After being recruited due to my background and experience I went thru the hour long phone interview and hour and half face interview. Was told they were only looking to hire General Managers that have District Manager potential which I did in my past career. After 2 weeks of not hearing from them I called the District Manager(whom recruited me in the 1st place) and left a msg stating I was still intrested. 5 minutes later I get a call from the phone interviewer stating she was calling for the DM to say they were going to promote within?
I felt it was a huge waste of my valuable time since this company put huge postings all over the internet for my specific city to find out nobody that interviewed would be considered and go internal.

I met the manager out shopping and he told me to come and fill out an application. I turned it in and got the job right away. He just wanted someone who was self motivated and eager to better themselves.

Interviewed Sep 2009 (took 3 days)
I received a call from a recruiter and we spoke for a while about the company. I had had a recent dealing with the company that was horrible so I wasn't sure if I really wanted to work for them. She put me in contact with a human resource person and a manager.

Reason for Declining
I did some research online, found this blog from a really upset person at:feed://msrozz.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default
I also did a search using Lenscrafters complaints and found so, so many of them. Customers or potential customers aren't happy with them and it seems that the employees aren't happy with how they are treated either. I really don't need a job that bad to have those kinds of headaches! I also didn't have faith in the manager I interviewed with. She really didn't "sell" me on the company.

The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed May 2009 (took 3 weeks)
The actual interviewing process is very thorough but if you have a very strong knowledge base and experience with retail management you will do great. They ask good, "tell me a time when" questions. Be prepared to discuss your past successes and how you achieved them. I was asked specific questions to determine how my management style will fit into their way of business. There will be three interview total, one of them a panel interview. There will also be compentancy/personality test that takes 1-2 hours. This personality part is a breeze, however if you aren't just out of school, the comp part of the test will prove challenging.
