Interviewed Jun 2009 (took a day)
Just plain stupid... I quickly assessed that I would not fit into the culture of the office. Especially since, one of the Director's keep talking about how he took over Sales presentations from his team. Talk about ego! The interview was really about them and not what I could do to advance their goals. What a waste of time and gas!

Interviewed May 2008 in Herndon, VA (took a day)
I showed up 30 minutes early and it was chaos. Everyone, apparently, goes to lunch at the same time. I was interviewed by 4 men. It was unstructured. And I was asked outright by one of the interviewers how I had made it to the interview. Did I know someone? He even used profanity. I knew I did not have a snowball chance in hell... It did not appear to be a diverse environment. Level 3 may be a great company, but the job was not as it was described in the vacancy. They basically needed account clean up for a recently acquired company's account. There was no clear vision of what the job would be. I have extensive experience with a major telecomunications company, hold a MBA, but was not asked any real questions about how I would do the job... What a waste of gas... One guy was an ego maniac, the second was a church mouse, the third was "Lumpy from Leave it to Beaver" and the fourth I mean who cares that you dodged bullets in Iraq.... I really am happy that I did not get the job because it was clear that I would not fit in to the culture there, I have a heartbeat!
