Interviewed Sep 2010 in San Francisco, CA (took 2 days)
The recruiting process seemed well organized and the phone screen was exactly what you would expect - just filtering for people with interest, good communication skills and appropriate background. I was disappointed once I got to the in person interview because I was told that there had been a mistake and I would have to come back later to be interviewed by more people. It was also made fairly clear that I probably wouldn’t get the job I applied for, but that there were other jobs that they would consider me for. I already have a job, and was not interested in the other positions. After the interviewer told me that, I couldn’t hide my disappointment and had trouble focusing on the rest of the interview. I felt like they should have better respected my time and couldn’t help wondering if that’s how they treated their actual employees.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took 1+ week)
Interviewed with both the store manager and the district manager. Very basic retail questions, asking about experience, past management inquiries and results. Nothing too strenuous, but I would have felt more comfortable wearing relaxed outfit rather than business casual (i.e. Levi jeans). Never knew if they did reference checks for me though.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took 2 weeks)
I was applying for a store outside the state that i was currently living in. I applied on-line and interviewed with a recruiter. My next interview was a one-on-one in person interview with a store manager at a local Levi store. After that I had a 3rd interview (in person) with the District Manager for the store I was interested in. I had a 4th interview over the phone with the manager of the store I was interested in. The store manager said that he would call me back after the holiday rush but i never heard anything from them. Everyone I interviewed with was very nice and I was pretty shocked when I did not get a call back.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took 3 weeks)
1st interview was with a recruiter. This person does not work directly for the company. Therefore, they could not provide any information on the company culture and/or environment. She also asked me my salary requirement, but did not know the range of the salary. Nor could she tell me more about the job itself outside of what was on the job bulletin. This interview was strictly a skills match. Therefore answered questions about do you know Excel and etc as well as why do you want to work here.
2nd interview was set up by a different recruiter with the same firm. It turns out the interview was with a peer at LS and not another recruiter as I was lead to believe. Asked about my background and education.
Both were very different from the traditional interview. They were both more free form. So be ready to speak to the points about yourself and what you can do.

Interviewed Mar 2008 in San Francisco, CA (took 6 weeks)
I was looking to get out of video game marketing and into apparel. I got an interview with a high level member of the Marketing team, which I was very excited about. But, during the interview, we talked little about the opportunity and mostly about how Levi's can target/get into the video game demographic/market. I left feeling used and disappointed with the feeling that I was only brought in so that he could pick my brain. He was more interested in making a deal with me at my current job than hiring me for the Levi opportunity I was interested in. After the interview, it took about 3 weeks for Levi's to get back to me to let me know they went with someone else. Go figure.
