A friend pushed my resume through when a previous employee resigned. I was contacted by phone and asked about my experience. Some technical questions were asked and I was asked to come in and meet some other staff. During the panel interview peers I would work with interviewed me, asked me questions, tested my experience, and my personality with how well i would work with these particular people on a daily basis. I did well during the panel and was invited for a 1:1 interview with the mamagement of the department. similar questions, including behavioral, were asked. test questions to solidify proof of experience were asked as well. both panel and 1:1 went well. in a couple weeks i was offered a position.

There was no negotiation phase. it was, "this is what we're offering; sign here if you want this job we are offering."
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, a Skills Test and a Background Check.

The arena floor was laid out with contracted companies hiring at least a thousand employees. You would sit down with the mangers and have about a 8 - 15 minute interview. two weeks later you would recieve a call for a second interview. after that you attend orientation.

Levy put an ad in the newspaper to hire staff for the Spring Meet at Churchill Downs, so I went and applied to be a bartender. I filled out a paper application, and was offered an interview on the spot. The interview lasted about 5 minutes, with the main question being, "Have you actually tended bar in a full service bar before." Since I had, and I listed my manager as a reference, they said they would call him and be in touch. I got the job offer a week later.

The hardest interview. They asked extremely random questions but overall the person interviewing me seemed nice.
