Interview Details – Applied through campus and received an interview. Basic behavior questions that every other company asks. I got a call back about a day later for a final round interview at their headquarters. It was an entire day event and consists of 1 written test (pretty easy), 1 case interview and 2 behavioral interviews.

Interview Question – Nothing was too hard. Ask a lot of questions during the case interview. Also, they paid for lunch and that is part of the interview process as well.   Answer Question

Interview Details – You start with a phone interview with a recruiter who tries to act laid back, but you realize he is stressed out because his pay depends on you getting hired.. The first interview went well, but it took all day long. I did not hear anything back from them for about 2 months, but it seemed like a good job so I came back for a final interview with the regional sales manager. After hearing him talk about how much better they are than any insurance agency, he finally let me leave the boring long process about the sketchy world of insurance sales. They are looking for people who are desperate and can stick out a long process

Interview Question – There are no difficult questions honestly, just a bunch of typical situation and describe how you handled it. I really was not impressed with any of the interviewees, as my 10 year little brother could ask those questions   View Answer

Reason for Declining – I felt like they were just too good to be true, and try to make it seem like they are top dogs, but lets be real people, if it's a good sales job than you don't need a base pay. The overall bad stigma that selling insurance brings to the table, turned me away. I will say that they did seem like really nice people, and made it seem like they were a close tight group. If you want to annoy people to buy insurance than good luck. I had better opportunities on the table.

The interviewer is very open about what the job is going to be about and pay scale. They answered all questions about benefits and the responsibilities of the jobs.

Interview Details – I applied online through my school's career site. I was chosen for an on-campus interview. The questions were standard behavioral questions. Also, the interviewer asked me questions about my resume. Then they advanced me to the final round interview at their headquarters in Boston. The final round interviews consisted of two behavioral interviews and a case interview.

Interview Question – The case interview was about two insurance companies in the same state. You were employed by one company. Your job was help your company break into the competitors number. Interview Details – It was pretty simple. Behavioral interview questions were done over the phone. The invited to come in for a face to face interview the next day. Met with managers for more behavioral questions along with a written test and computer test. A few days later they came back with an offer and started the background check.

Interview Details – Referred by a friend but we didn't do the referral process correctly (the employee needs to refer you via the website...don't start the app process before doing this or it takes longer!) Submitted app/resume online. Got a call for a phone interview within a week. Talked to a recruiter for about a half hour, basic questions; she asked me to come down (from NC to FL) for a face-to-face (no Skype allowed, apparently.) Drove down, interviewed on a Friday afternoon. First was a skills assessment on a computer, alone in a room. Then I interviewed with two different supervisors, separately, and had a quick chat with a site manager. The questions were somewhat unusual (compared to the generic ones I expected) and each one called for a specific example. The first supervisor was very personable and casual; the second was very intimidating (later learned, this is just how she appears;) the manager was very nice. *** If you can get a laugh out of them, you're golden! *** The total interview process that day took about three hours. The next week, I heard from my friend that everything went well. Waited for a call....and waited...and waited... I think it took almost two weeks to get the official offer (via phone call.) Received the written offer via email and started the background check. (The background check is VERY detailed.)

Negotiation Details – I already knew the salary range for the position (31,300 - 33,700.) I requested 33,000-33,500. They gave me 33,700. No negotiation needed.

Interview Details – I replied to an online post. I was called by a recruiter less than a week later, asking for a phone interview..about 30 minutes. Went over resume, and she asked questions on that as needed. She also asked a few situational questions. Then she said based on our interaction, she wanted to set me up for a 3 hour interview/ skills testing session, the following week. I interviewed with 2 very nice, very knowledgeable managers. These were one after another, maybe 30-45 minutes each. They used STAR format, but used different questions. Both answered all my questions on the positions, and were willing to elaborate on my questions, and never made me feel rushed. I then went to the testing room. That took about an hour and a half or so. I was told that my recruiter will be in touch. Later that night I got an email asking to fill out paperwork to start the background check. The next Monday I received a contingent offer (based on the conclusion of my background)

Interview Question – Talk about a time when you were introduced to a new computer related process that you were confused about. How did you overcome this process?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – This offer is contingent on background. Although, there isn't really a negotiation, the offer was MORE than fair, especially given the stability of the company and the benefits offered.

Interview Details – After applying online on a Sunday, the initial outreach from HR to schedule a phone interview happened 5 days later, that Friday. We scheduled a phone call for the following week. The HR was extremely pleasant explaining why the position was open and the profile of the candidate they were looking for.

The days after the phone call with HR, an in person interview was schedule at their Boston office. The interview was structured as a series of three 1 on 1 interactions. I wish I had brought a book to read as everyone was behind schedule and the interviews started 40 minutes late.

Two of the interviews were very casual asking about prior experience and desire to work at Liberty Mutual. No technical questions were asked during these. The third interview was strikingly different as it contained are questions about data analysis techniques. This wouldn't have been a problem without both the interview being rushed due to the late start and mid-sentence phone calls and e-mail responses.

The office it self looked like a studio for 1970s workplace safety video. Completely grey cubicle farm with special padding on the walls to drain you of motivation.

After the interview, I sent thank e-mails to the three interviewers and no one responded. Not even with a simple, "Good to meet you, good luck." I found that pretty rude. There was no contact for over a month, which was surprising considering how fast the interviews were set up. Eventually, I received the auto generated rejection letter.

Overall, the experience left a negative enough impression, that I won't use Liberty Mutual as a customer and have recommended to my friends and family to switch also. There's a reason, this company isn't the number one player.
