Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 2+ weeks)
The communication with Lionbridge was sporadic and riddled with inconsistency. Instructions conveyed by e-mail for testing were often incomplete, incorrect or misleading. The online testing process was poorly explained and facilitated. Online tests often had technical glitches that prevented completion on the first try. Overall, this left me with the impression that I was being scammed or toyed with.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Skills Test.

Interviewed Jan 2008 in New York, NY (took 4 weeks)
The good thing: I did talk to a recruiter, a site manager and a team manager. The bad thing: The recruiter was *only* interested in locking me in at the lowest imaginable salary level for my position. I was only able to talk to the site and team managers by keeping them continually in the loop (and also by being frank to them in my refusal to talk about compensation before I had learned anything about the concrete position).

Interviewed Aug 2009 (took 2 weeks)
After applying for a position on their website, I was contact by HR for an initial screening. A few days later, I had a 30-minute phone interview with the hiring manager. I was only asked behavioral questions; overall the phone interview went well. A week later, I was brought in for a group interview, which was again entirely behavioral based â??what frustrate youâ? â??what motivates youâ? etcâ?¦; not one question pertained specifically to localization.
Never received an email/phone call from HR letting me know the outcome of my interview.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Seattle, WA (took 2+ weeks)
The hiring and interview process consisted of being contacted by HR after applying to a position on the Lionbridge website. I was interviewed for a different (possibly newly created) position.
It took a long time to schedule the phone interview. The hiring manager was very busy.
I was never clear on what the company actually did. I think they were trying to get into partnering with large companies to aid in developing strategy, but I am not clear they actually did this. It was very clear to me that it was a poor fit.
