Interviewed Jun 2011 in Fort Worth, TX (took 2 days)
I was contacted by email and phone from a Lockheed Martin HR recruiter. They found my resume in their database and wanted to fly me out to be interviewed to work on JSF program in Fort Worth.
They thought I was a perfect fit until I pointed out to them that I had only recently graduated from college a year ago. Even though I had 2 years of engineering work experience through internships and 1 year of full time engineering work, they needed someone who had graduated at least 2 years from that day.
So unfortunately things did not work out at that time but I thought I'd let other applicants know that if they are qualified for a position then Lockheed Martin will call you, you don't have to wonder if your resume is just sitting around in some HR abyss, I know because it happened to me, I didn't even apply to anything I just submitted my resume on their website for general consideration.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Fort Worth, TX (took a day)
Received a call from recruiter asking if I'm interested in flying out for an on-site interview. Booked the flight for 2 weeks later.
The interview was only 1 hour long and held in a room full of large cubicles, which was somewhat distracting as I could hear other candidates interviewing. I sat down with a senior manager from the software team and someone from HR. The manager brought a binder with diagrams and flowcharts that describe her team and what they do. She presented this information for roughly 40 minutes. Then the HR rep spent 10 minutes asking me about some background information, such as my security clearance. I was then given less than 10 minutes to try to sell myself and explain why I'd be a good fit. There was no time left to ask questions and the interview ended after exactly 1 hour.
Over 2 months went by with no feedback. Then I received a call from someone in HR telling me there's a problem with the desired salary I listed in my original application. It didn't seem unreasonable to me, and I confirmed that is the range I'm looking to make but I'm open to negotiation. He demanded repeatedly to know my "current salary, as of right now, today." I politely refused, since I am under no obligation to disclose this information. He then said I could either tell him or he will find out in a background investigation. I told him that my current employer doesn't reveal our salaries, and if this is how his company treats potential employees then it is definitely not a good fit for me. He e-mailed me immediately after, saying that my experience and expectations are clearly not right for this position, but good luck with my job search.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Fort Worth, TX (took 2 months)
There was a one on one interview to initially determine the serious candidates. Then, after more than a month of no contact I received an email asking me to come in and be interviewed by a panel. I had to give a short power point presentation and there was also an hour long information session.

Great experience, went on a tour of the facility, saw a presentation, and interviewed with two individuals. They also flew me out, put me up in a hotel and gave me a rental car.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Fort Worth, TX (took a day)
There was one 2 on 1 interview which was behavioral but you have to have technical knowledge to seem competent. The whole process was fairly simple and the fact that they had food while you waited (1+ hour) was nice. It actually snowed while I was there but they helped me get out in time. Overall it was a good experience.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Fort Worth, TX (took a day)
Applied at college career fair and online sites and landed a on site interview. They offered me a flight or rental to the facility (I drove and was reimbursed), they also provided a hotel, and meal allowance. The day of the interview consisted of interviews, tours, and general information. I only had one interview, but several people had up to 5 (it varies on your major). The interview consisted of behavioral questions, some of my projects, college courses, and some of my interests.

Negotiation Details
You are priced based on the amount of hours of college you have completed and prior internship experiences. You are given a living stipend and work through a relocation company. Since the company is constricted by government contracts there is really no way to negotiate with them about price.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Fort Worth, TX (took a day)
I was given the offer through an alumni at my school. The first interview was through telephone, it was very informal and behavioral based. Second was in person on site with a manager from the department. It was a large interview session with several candidates for different positions, both technical and non-tech. The interview was, once again, relaxed and was more behavioral to see if you were a good fit for the company. No technical questions were asked- just what type of position would you be interested in working in.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Fort Worth, TX (took a day)
Did an on-campus interview. After 2 weeks received invitation to on-site hiring event. Event included site tour, company overview, and actual interview. Both the on-campus interview and on-site interview consisted of a set of typical behavioral questions (i.e. "Tell me about a time when..."), where they look for answers in the form of STARS (situation, tasks, actions, results). Was told will be notified regardless of whether I will be receiving an offer or not. But it has been over 6 weeks, still haven't heard anything.

Interviewed Dec 2008 in Fort Worth, TX (took a day)
I applied online and within a month or two I was called. They flew me out to Fort Worth and put me up for the night. The next day I went in for my interview. I was interviewd by two sets. The first set was two employees from my department. Then one person from HR. The first interview consisted mainly of behavioral questions such as, "Tell me about a time when..." They also wanted to know how much I knew about Lockheed Martin and Aeronautics specifically. I went into my interview knowing about aeronautics and planes but doing research and reading the annual reports and company website gave me more information. Also going through bloomberg.com for articles impressed them, that I knew so much. Another portion of the time we spent talking about schools and my experience at my school and what types of leadership roles I have taken on.
The second interview was a very basic and more of a follow up to make sure I was eligible to work for Lockheed, as a defense contractor.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Fort Worth, TX (took 2 weeks)
First I want to give a little background on myself to make the process points clearer: I was a returning adult student (I'm almost 40) who graduated with a BSEE in 2007. I went to a community college for a couple years and then transferred to a university to finish. When I transferred, my GPA was 3.8/4.0, but the university did not record that at all; my GPA on my university transcripts only shows the classes I took on campus (even online classes through the university system were not included). As such, I calculated my overall GPA (using all the classes it took to obtain my degree) which turned out to be 3.2. My university transcript, though, shows a cumulative of 2.76 due to using only on-campus classes.
I applied for this position online in October 2008 with a job-specific resume and cover letter (I applied for several jobs (40+) between September 2008 and February 2009, some using job specific docs, some generic). I got a call in early February 2009 from a recruiter in Fort Worth about the job and he asked me about my interest in it and briefly went over my resume with me. He said that they wanted to do an in-person interview and that some would be contacting me shortly about that. About two weeks later another recruiter called me and requested that I send my transcripts and consent to a background check. She also scheduled me to come out on March 3rd for an interview.
They had me schedule my own transportation via Travelocity for the interview. They provided airfare, hotel, and rental car and I was reimbursed for meals and my mileage to/from the airport at home(they actually wrote me a reimbursement check while I was there for the interview, and paid a per diem rate).
For the interview I arrived at 8am at the Fort Worth recruiting center. A pleasant receptionist welcomed me, got some of the pre-interview paperwork I had to fill out from me, wrote me the reimbursement check, then let me know that there was some continental-style breakfast available if I was hungry. I then sat in the waiting area and there were probably 10 other folks waiting there as well. After about 10 minutes, the receptionist came over and played a video that spoike about Lockheed and its various child companies and what they produce.
After that was over I waited another 20 minutes or so until the hiring manager came and took me to a small cubicle for the interview. He asked me to tell him about myself, then went over my resume and asked me to dgo into more detail about my past work experiences. He had a few "canned" questions, like "Tell me about a time when you had a project tha wasn't on schedule, and what you did to correct it". None of the questions were ones where I would have to solve some problem or show other technical skills. Then he told me about the position itself and what my responsibilities would be if I were to get the position. I was then given the opportunity to ask some questions myself.
After that, he took me back to the reception area, where I met with a person from security. She asked a few questions related to my being able to get a security clearance. Then she took me back to the recption area again. After that I was supposed to meet with the recruiter, but she was in a meeting so I was sent home.
About two weeks later the recruiter called about my transcripts. They were concerned because of the GPA listed on my transcript; and I spent a couple days and many phone calls getting them to understand the situation. They had to take it to the VP of HR to get it approved into the offer phase, but it did get approved.
About a week and a half later they finally called and offered me the position.

Negotiation Details
I was not able to negotiate. They had a sort of "hey, with the GPA struggle (which was of thier making, not mine) you are lucky we are offering the job" attitude. I really wanted the position so I took it anyway, but the attitude would have given me pause otherwise. If they call you with an offer, do not immediately accept, tell them to give you some time then go back and negotiate.
