    Interview

Applied for New Grad position. Had two interviews in the same day. Both mainly HR questions that were about my experiences and how I work in a team. Very friendly interviewers. Not too many questions though, so be prepared to talk about yourself and have questions ready.

    Interview

I study mechanical engineering and have 3 good summer internships (not in defense industry) ive always wanted to work for lockheed martin so i put almost all of my effort in to applying there. I got a call probably 2 months after my application was in (I applied early) to see if i was interested in going to the facility for a tour/interview and for me to give a quick explanation of my resume. They paid for my expenses and hotel.

The interview day was long (~8am-1pm) but i was the only one that day. I toured many different parts of the facility that were followed by interviews that were conducted by the manager(s) of that particular area. They use the STAR method so study up on that and always use relevant examples, some tricky questions but just show how much you want the job and why youre qualified.

    Interview

Applied online during xxxxxx month. Month later received call about wanting to have an interview. Month later flew out to interview. They paid for everything. Interview lasted about an hour or so. Not the most difficult interview. Typical situational/behavioral/straightforward questions. 3-1 interview. Two people in person and one via conference call. Two people in person that interviewed me turned out to be the two direct people I would end up working with.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at Lockheed Martin (Littleton, CO) in March 2015.

    Interview

I applied online to multiple positions available and was first notified about if I would require disability accommodations about a week after applying. Some time between 2-3 weeks after I applied I was invited to interview in person about 5 days after the invitation was sent. I was nervous at first but prepared by educating myself on the program the position was for and thinking about my experiences on my resume. In the end, what my interviewers really cared about was knowing that I was excited about the position and would look forward to coming into work every day. This made the interview go smoothly as I was incredibly excited by the opportunity. I was told informally about three hours after the interview that they liked me and wanted to move forward and the next business day was given a formal offer.
Just remember, chances are your interviewer(s) are nice people and won't be as intimidating as you may expect. In most engineering cases, they are looking for someone that fits well in a team environment and is intrinsically motivated by the work they do.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at Lockheed Martin (Santa Clara, CA) in March 2015.

    Interview

The interview process was all smooth up until it came down to candidate selection and job offer. It was easy to obtain interviews, and the interviews went really well. The interviewers were all professional and nice. However, there was no follow-up after the on-site interview, to which I was told I dis really well on. It gave me false hope that they would make me an offer. They even asked me when I could start working there, etc.
I had to send several emails to the hiring director before I was told that the position had been filled with another candidate. There was no explanation as to what happened, and never any updates throughout the selection process. Literally blind-sided. I tried to ask for further info as to why I did not end up getting an offer, but the hiring manager never bothered to reply. So much for being excited to work for and contribute to their team...

    Software Engineer Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 6+ monthsinterviewed at Lockheed Martin (Washington, DC) in March 2015.

    Interview

Initially a total of 12 candidates including myself were sitting in a conference room. Nobody knew what positions they were being interviewed for or where they would be. A few managers came in, intorduced themselves, and talked about how the day would go. Basically, each manager worked on a different project and needed someone or knew another manager that needed someone. They were looking to fill multiple positions and just wanted to cast a wide net. So they would pull you into their office for about 30 minutes and interview you. I had 3 interviews, some people had two, others had 4 but the schedule was predetermined. If you didn't have an interview at that time you just sat with the other candidates and talked.

I really only had one or two questions the whole time. It was more conversational rather than an typical interview, and there were no technical questions.

It went really well for me, and Ive been doing background checks with the company. Still, its been about a month or two and theres been no offer yet

    Interview

Interviews are more focused on how to deal with difficult customers and a general appraisal of skill set rather than specific questions about code or systems knowledge. Managers also try to get a feel of whether you fit into their local culture well, than if you know what circumstances require a binary sort vs. a bubble sort.
