Interviewed Jan 2010 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
Came in for 3 rounds of interviews. First round consisted of 1-1 with the two associates and the 1 VP on the team. Talked about background, transactions I had worked on, etc. Second round was with the 2 senior directors on the team. More fit oriented and discussed my work experience in detail. Third round was a case study for an investment idea which I had to present to the whole team. I had a weekend to analyze the investment, create a model, learn all the ins and outs of the business and present a 5 page presentation on my recommendation. All 5 members of the team grilled me for an hour during the presentation, I held my own during it but my recommendation wasn't in line with what they believed so I didn't receive an offer.
