Interviewed Oct 2010 in Annapolis, MD (took 3 weeks)
Very professional, was a little unorganized but was able to humor the entire situation. The space in which the interview took place was a catastrophe but all went well in the end. Courteous, professional and kind. Was able to secure salary and benefits in one interview. Interviewer was extremely polite and courteous.

I was recruited for this interview, however i was subject to the full interview process, inclusive of an interview with the assistant store manager as well as the store manager. Coordination of each interview was professional and timely and overall, the interviews were quite typical.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Paramus, NJ (took a day)
I was called in for an interview. When I arrived the HR manager and I discussed my availability and I received a schedule. I signed some papers and we discussed pay. She was very friendly and the interview was pleasant. I think I had the job before I arrived, the interview seemed to be a confirmation about hiring me. The people I work with are genuinely friendly and brighten my day there. The employee population is very diverse as well. Dress business casual but I always dress business professional. Atleast dress slacks and a dressy shirt, sometimes a skirt and shirt with stockings or a blazer. As a seasonal employee, always be on time (early) and have perfect attendance. Be willing to accept extra hours. I believe that's how to become permanent.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Paramus, NJ (took a day)
I was interested in a seasonal position and simply came in and asked about it while the hiring HR Manager was in. She was very friendly and didn't ask many questions at all. They were probably looking to pick up as many people as possible so she hired me on the spot and gave me a schedule that day.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 5+ weeks)
Since I was referred by an ex-employee to replace her, the process went very smoothly. I talked to the dept. supervisor and then the store manager and store operations managers together. Then we had to wait about 30 days for the background check, because I was to work in Fine Jewelry. The store manager & store operations manager was very strong on making sure I would accept their security procedures and verifying my experience.

Negotiation Details
I did not negotiate, because I think they offered a very good rate. Since this was a part-time job, there were no benefits. You could not negotiate a schedule.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 2 days)
I submitted my resume to their website and they called me back within a day. We set up a time for an interview and I went in. I met with the interviewer and was asked many basic questions that you would expect. The interview was not hard at all, mostly questions about previous experience and personality.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Syracuse, NY (took a day)
Spoke with ASM on the phone- very pleasant conversation. Made an appointment for 1:1 interview. I brought my resume with me. We met for about 30 minutes- not a stressful interview. They're definitely there to ask questions about you, so be prepared to "sell yourself". I accepted the position and then met with HR several days later to finalize the details.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took a day)
I applied online, on the Lord and Taylor website. I received a call a few days after I applied from HR. She asked about my retail experience, my availability and scheduled a time for me to come in to speak to the HR manager. The day of the interview, I arrived early, everyone seemed so nice. I met with the HR manager, she asked me questions like, about my retail experience, example where I worked in a team
