Interview Question – Be sure you listen to every candidate as they'll randomly ask you a question based on what someone else said.   Answer Question

Group Events Internship Interview

Group Events Internship
Los Angeles, CA

I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Los Angeles Clippers in October 2011.

Interview Details – Pretty simple- just asked a few questions like any other interview (ie,strengh, weakness, where do you see yourself in 5 yrs . Be ready with an answer that is short and to the point. Don't be nervous that it is an NBA team, they are very laid back. Try to show up first and get into the first group of interviews.

Interview Question – What reality show would you want to be on.   Answer Question

Inside Sales Executive Interview

Inside Sales Executive
Los Angeles, CA

I applied in-person and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Los Angeles Clippers in December 2009.

Interview Details – The interview is exactly like the interview scene in "Boiler Room." Basically, the Inside Sales executives want to see how you handle pressure and whether you will crack. It's brutal in the moment, but at least they are honest that it's a telemarketing job and it will suck.

Interview Question – N/A. The questions are random and based on your resume as well as your demeanor.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – No negotiating.

Have open eyes before taking this job: it is NOT an entry point into the sports world - it's an entry point into the sales world (with very low pay). You will learn some skills in dealing with customers, but there's a high burnout rate.

Intern Interview

Intern

The process took a day - interviewed at Los Angeles Clippers in September 2010.

Interview Details – From intial contact to job offer the procces took about a month. The group interview included 10-15 other applciants. Questions ranged from the general describe yourself in one word, weakness and strengths to what is clipper. I suggest knowing general history and players. Try to show personality in all responses, in such a large group setting that is key to getting an offer.
