Field Coordinator at Médecins Sans Frontières

No Offer – Reviewed Aug 21, 2012

Interview Details – The hiring process begins with the completion of an online application. I was contacted via email one month after application and was invited for a telephone screening interview a month later.

The screening interview lasted 12 minutes. Although I have not yet advanced to the next stage, I was told I would be contacted in 1 or 2 weeks regarding the status of my application. If still found to be competitive, I would be invited to an in-person interview. If approved, I would attend a 3-day training course before being entered on the job roster for deployment. I was told the deployment process takes 6-9 months on average.

Negotiation Details – The process was very relaxed and transparent, the HR coordinator was very clear regarding the rules and regulations. All my questions were answered.
