Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 8 weeks)
applied on-line in December. First call back in January, basic phone screening with invitation to meet with Manager, met with manger told I'd hear from HR in 2 weeks - been 4 weeks now and no word. It's really frustrating to be left hanging.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 2 weeks)
Posted for a job that I thought would be an excellent fit based on my background and experience. Recruiter was very pleasant and conducted a phone interview. A few days later I was contacted for a 1:1 Interview with the District Executive which went fantastic. Questions asked were: "What do you look for in an employer", "What are your future goals", "How do you feel about making Business calls", and " Where do you see yourself in 3 to 5 years". Absolutely the most laid back interview that I have ever been on.

Negotiation Details
When I was offered the position the salary that was presented was suitable for me financially and I verbally accepted. I feel that I could have negotiated for a few more thousand dollars, but I am a dedicated worker and will be able to make over and above my expectations based on their Manager incentive plan.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Washington, DC (took 4+ weeks)
The company seems very successfully and definately a great place to start after your final year of college. The process took far too long and it was very dragged out. It was a bit unfair having followed up so many times and having to wait so long to be contacted. Everyone was very nice for the interview day. I thought I would have gotten the offer after my interview rounds, but did not get the offer.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Buffalo, NY (took 3 weeks)
Initial 30 minute on-campus interview. Went fairly well and conversational.
After 10 days, I was offered a on-site interview at the headquarters in Buffalo, NY. The office visit consisted of 4 half-hour interviews (3 in-person and 1 phone). Overall, the interviews were relatively easy. Questions ranged from general interview questions to behavioral questions. The whole process was finished by noon and followed by lunch with a former MDP, which was informal and very helpful.
The bank seemed well managed with great down-to-earth people.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Baltimore, MD (took 5 weeks)
First I applied online and a week later a recruiter called me for a phone interview. The same day the recruiter assistant called me to discuss a face to face interview. A week later I did my face to face with the regional manger at the branch I was to work. Normally you would meet with the branch manger but she was out sick. During the interview she asked about my past work experience and why I chose M&T. Then about another week later I had to call the recruiter myself to get an update she claimed she was about to call me they offered me the job she forwarded an official offer letter and drug test screening and background/credit check papers I electronically sign those and started 2 weeks later.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Buffalo, NY (took 2 weeks)
I entered the application on line and within 2 days I received a phone call from HR to set up appt. for screening. The screening process was pretty basic. Once the screening was done, an appt. was set up for interview w/ the department manager. He was very knowledgable and into seems to be very hand on w/ his work. He was very down to earth and made me feel at ease throughout the entire interview. The explained about how demanding the position can get yet he seems to a fair and flexible boss. We talked about my qualifications and asked a few technical questions. He did explained that there were a few internal postings for this position. The interview took about one hour. Unfortunately, about 2 weeks later I received a thank you letter from HR.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Buffalo, NY (took a day)
First round interview included a VP coming to my school and had a very relax informal interview. More of the tell me about yourself, and then let me tell you about the company and my roles. Then I was asked a lot of behavioral questions and then why I chose my current school and why I decided on M&T. I heard nothing from them for a few weeks but then the HR dept. called I was scheduled a second interview where i had an all expense trip paid for to Buffalo for an all day interview. I interviewed with 8 people, four from each department that I was considering. THey were all very nice and it wasn't intimidating at all. They really want to see how you fit into their culture and that you are excited about M&T. Make sure that you know the company's background and why YOU want to work for them. A few days later, I was given a offer and I will most likely accept the offer as they are all really nice and there is huge potential to grow with this company. The management and all the interviewers actually contacted me after I received the offer to say congrats and hope that I will accept the offer and was very open to questions.
