I filled out an application online. I received an e-mail to schedule my interview. I went in for the interview. She told me the position I applied for was outside my availabilty. She said I would be a good pricing associate. She completed the intervew by asking name a time when questions. She offered me the job on the spot penidng background check.

Applied online. Received an email back asking me to schedule an interview. Was able to set it for the following day. Met with the sales manager of the department I would be working in. We discussed my retail background and school schedule. He then had me wait to meet the HR manager. I spoke with her about the position, dress code, hours, pay and commission structure. She then offered me the job.

I had to fill out an online questionnaire to determine if I was a good fit compared to successful associates that had done it before. Since I was a good fit I was sent an email to set up an interview. I went in for the first interview with a manager that was available at the time and was asked standardized questions. Then I was asked to come back on another day to interview with the manager of the area where I would be working. I was asked the same questions and told about how the commission works.

I got the message that I got the interview throughan email after 3 days of filling in the application. The next day I got there I was amazed to see that it was all women(beautiful) behind the counter. Everyone was so happyand smiling. It seemed like they had a sisterhood or knew eachother for a long time. I was interviewed by a pretty looking manger and the interview was basically her asking questions off of a piece a paper so the questions were very easy to answer. All in all the interview was nice.

The interviewer was backed up with several of us waiting at once for different time slots. I believe I waited ab out 45 minutes after my designated time, and during that time the individual that interviewed me was not doing anything, just socializing with other employees. The interview itself was relatively casual, people were popping in here and there to relay information to her. She seemed extremely shocked that I asked her questions about the company itself.

Had to apply 3 times before I got a call from HR telling me when to come in for my interview. The interview was simple enough I originally went in for a sales position but didnt have enough experiance so was offered a support positon and accepted. I would say DONT work for Macys. I dont think ive ever met anyone who is happy working for them, they treat theyre employees like crap. If you get hired be sure you are able to clock in and out effectively your first day, if it doesn't go through it might be because they didnt out you in the system yet. This happened to me and nobody knew anything until finally someone told me what the problem was 3 days later and I lost $138 that they refused to give me because I had "no proof" even though every single day i went in i filled out a time sheet...
