I applied online and three hours later received an interview invitation. The hiring process took about 15-20 minutes. The manager asked me about ten questions. After I finished my last response she immediately went ahead and talked about the departments available and which one I would like to work for. She was very nice and made the atmosphere very comfortable. I wasn't nervous about this interview because I came prepared.

I applied online and received an email with an invitation to interview. I prepared by reading their website that consisted of much information on their mission, values, employee training and expectations. During the interview, I was asked probably ten questions. The questions I remember were: why do you want to work here? Describe a time you received great customer service, why was it great? Have you had sales experience and describe how you were with customer service? Explain how you were part of a team and your role in the situation?

When I applied to the Macy's Downtown Minneapolis store online I got a request to interview the next day. Once I rescheduled and had the interview the Hiring Manager was very courteous. Even though she was going through a district inspection of her store she was very nice and it was a good interview. She explained that if I were to take the job that it was seasonal, but after the holidays if I liked the job and the company hired me then I would be offered a full -time position. I think it helped that I already liked the company and used the customer service experience that I had received from the company. In talking about the company I gave answers to questions that weren't asked, thus I led the interview. Basically, learn about the company and use that in your interview and you will do fine.

I was interviewed by the nices guy ever he was smiling the entire interview he ask me couple question and he say i'm gonna take risk and hire you i was so happy because iwas looking for job about three month i had some other interview but no one will hire me. thanks to macy's i ahve a job now

I applied online and they sent me an e-mail, the very next day saying they would like to schedule an interview with me. I schedule my interview for Tuesday at 5:00 pm. I got to the interview at 4:45 pm and she had told me, she had me down for 5:30 pm. I had her look at the confirmation e-mail, they had sent and she was like okay. She had me wait for 10 minutes. Than, she had me fill out what times I could be available which I've already done online! Grr.. She takes a look at it.. than proceeds on to my interview which was literally 15 minutes. At the end of the interview, she was like your hours don't correspond to our needs.. I WAS ANNOYED.. They should be more specific on what they wanted on the website? Maybe they wouldn't have to waste their time or mines interviewing people they don't need. OH WELL..
