Electronics Technician Interview

Electronics Technician
Castine, ME

I applied online and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at Maine Maritime Academy.

Interview Details – Submitted an application for the ships electrician/electronics technician. Received a phone call to schedule an interview. Went slightly overdressed in a suit. Shirt and tie would have been a bit closer. Waited about 5 minutes at the door to the ship for the Captain and the manager. Went down to a small conference room. Very simple, straightforward questions about the information on my resume and experience that applies to that position. I don't have a maritime license, and my experience is with lower voltage equipment, but it seemed to go well enough. Took a 30 minute tour of the entire ship with the manager. Again everything seemed to go well, but did not receive a call back.

Interview Question – There weren't any questions like "what's a situation where you had to deal with xxxx and how did you handle it?" Everything was covering the resume and the expectations of the job.   Answer Question
