Interviewed Jan 2011 in Kalamazoo, MI (took a day)

I posted my resume on the Manatron website and thy e-mailed me back for an interview a few weeks later. I was greeted by the receptionist and took a wonderlic and a personality test, which seemed utterly pointless.. I then waited for the actual meeting with senior staff and managers - there were 4 of them. We met in a conference room. They drilled me with a series of abstract questions, such as "how would you solve a problem?" and the "man in the boat with a heavy mass object throws it overboard, what happens to the water level"? To see if I could actually reason through some more slightly technical problems. They had grading sheets in front of them, judging my answers. They would ask me a question, and not even bother to look up and listen to me as I answered - how rude. I could see myself being judged as the interviewers wrote on their sheets a ranking of my answers from 1 to 10. None of them seemed really that friendly, and it seemed like taking the time to meet with me was a bother and they were completely disinterested in the whole process. The receptionist let me know the results of my tests, but didn't reveal anything about what it might mean, so again, it was pointless. I ended up not getting the job, and I'm glad. Mantron seemes like a place to avoid...
