Interviewed Oct 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took a day)
I got this interview from on-campus recruitment. In the interview there was a HR and a recent hire with the same position. People were nice, and they were dressed very casually( with jeans, and no suits). Interview was all about experience on resume and behavioral question. At last, they allowed you to ask questions. It took about one hour in total. They said next round would be panel interview and they would let me know if I got in. I thought I did well but I havent heard from them. Its been almost a month. So i guess im not in.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Newmarket, ON (Canada) (took 5 days)
I applied online, then had 2 telephone interviews and then a group interview and was given a topic for presentation for panel interview. All HR type questions nothing really technical expect maybe one or two questions. THE worse thing is that I had to wait 1 WHOLE MONTH to hear back from them. When I called to ask them if they made a decision they gave me attitude like "how dare you call us" very unprofessional.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Hackettstown, NJ (took 4+ weeks)
One of the odder interview experiences I've ever had. The usual "tell me about a time when" type questions, but rather than probing on skills, they probe on politics. These guys are paranoid!
"Tell me about a time when a co-worker sobotaged one of your projects"? Umm... that's never happened? "Really?".
"Tell me about a time when your boss disagreed with you in front of senior management"
"Tell me about a time when you knew a co-worker was presenting incorrect information just to push a project ahead of one of yours"
I left the interview feeling sick. When I received the offer I declined immediately.

Reason for Declining
I don't think I can work with these people. No wonder they've not launched anything truly innovative in 20+ years. They are stuck in political quicksand at HQ.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, a Personality Test and a Drug Test.

Interviewed May 2011 in Rockville, MD (took 6 days)
I found position on careerbuilder and updated my resume accordingly. It took about 48 hours from the time I posted resume to here from HR specialist. Phone interview was pretty easy in that I was asked to describe my experiences. From there I proceeded to face to face interview which was about 4 hours long with the entire product team. I had 30 minutes apiece for each manager. While the interview was long it allowed me to showcase my skills and experience.

Do not discuss salary until you get the full parameters of the position. Once the parameters are known about the job it is much easier to negotiate benefits and salary.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in New York, NY (took a day)
If you have some sort of experience in retail than they will give you a call back. The people are very down to earth and you can tell as soon as they call you for an interview. It's a fun place to be and you'll notice in the interview process when you walk through the store. You don't really need to outshine anyone in the group interview but make sure you are heard.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Hackettstown, NJ (took a day)
I met the company through on-campus recruiting and interviewed on-campus as well. They're all such nice people that the initial meetings were great. The interview, however, is pretty tough. Be on top of case questions and prepare for just about anything. In the end a lot of this process is about fit.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Hackettstown, NJ (took 2 months)
The first interview was a phone screen with an HR peson consisting of your basic interview question, ie leadership style, accomplishments, goals, objectives. It also consisted of a detailed discussion of Mars unique . The 2nd interview was also a phone interview but with the hiring manager. It was about 1.5 hours and went deep into functional experience, accomplishments. I was immediately told that I would be invited to come in for a formal interview. In the interim, they had asked me to execute an online personality survey.
It took about a month to schedule the in-house interview. It consisted of 2 - 2 people panel including HR, the hiring manager, and 2 peers. I would say it was relatively easy overall. The individuals spent alot of time talking about the Mars culture and making sure I was a good fit.

Interviewed Jan 2009 (took 2 days)
I applied online and then about a week later had a telephone interview. Manager was very friendly and I felt very much as ease. Phone interview was only a few mins. long. A few days later I was called and scheduled for a 1:1 interview with the area manager. I had to do a short (2 min.) presentation about something I was passionate about. Again, it was very relaxed. Manager was extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable. She asked a few basic questions regarding my background and then I did my presentation. I also had to watch a small presentation on her computer and then she asked me questions about what I saw....I guess to see how much I retained. Overall it was a very good experience...and I was offered position!

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Hackettstown, NJ (took 4+ weeks)
First two rounds were phone interviews - HR was generic, but the Marketing interviewer was rather difficult and cynical. The questions asked were significantly different from those asked for any other marketing openings, such as "Tell me about a time when a crossfunctional went against you." After an hour found out that I was moving forward to a final round in Hackettstown.
There were two 2on1 interviews, constituting of more tough questions asking about failed projects, issues with management, dysfunctional crossfunctionals, and managing issues between teammates. The most negative interview I've ever had, with very cold interviewers. Impossible to get a read on people, and they all looked like they'd rather shoot themselves than sit there for the interviews; sadly many of these people were the hiring managers. Not a good sign.
